See the little pale blue tendrils emerging from the sides of the medicine container? Now, let's look at the tendrils that appear on the bodies of Cnitharian wolves: Structurally, these look extremely similar. If you took these creatures out of the bioluminescent environment into normal light, I would bet that these tendrils would look similarly pale, like what we see on the Pox Balm. If that similarity isn't a coincidence, then, what could this mean? As we see during the Lunar events, lead wolves can bring items back with them from the Dreamlands and use them in the waking world, meaning the Dreamlands dimension is physical enough that items can go to/from it. What if the Pox disease originally came from this realm? There's no current evidence of this disease transmission (going there doesn't give you or your other wolves Pox), so, what else can we consider? Perhaps the Pox Balm itself, the cure for Pox, comes from the Dreamlands originally. Perhaps the Cnitharian wolves themselves made the first cure for it, the recipe ended up getting to Herbert the Bear, and he teaches our Herbalists to make the cure in the traditional Cnitharian way-- by putting the balm in a special container. The balm itself is colored a little strangely--would it glow if it were in the right light? This theory may seem small, but I think that there's more going on in the Dreamlands that we don't know about yet. What are your thoughts? |

I'm sure they would have very unique effects. Your theory could be a basis for that! Perhaps the faint glow and colour of the pox balm come from some kind of added lunar ingredient? Besides the regular required herbs. Maybe even a normal herb effected by lunar essence? Essence could be a simple way to add an extra "protein" to the mix! |
