ClansClans are a feature we've planned on implementing on Wolvden, and we'd really like to gather input on what your ideal clan system would look like. What would you like to see for clans on Wolvden? Are there other clan-like systems that you enjoy on other games, and if so, what elements of those systems do you like? What would you primarily use clans for? Can you think of any other suitable terms for this type of feature other than "clans"? We do have some ideas for potential features we'd like to implement for clans, but hearing your feedback and your ideas are paramount. If there's something you'd really want to see in clans that isn't listed below, please comment on here and let us know what the feature is as well as how it would benefit you. Is there something listed that you aren't particularly fond of? We'd love to hear why! Potential FeaturesIt is important that we stress these are only potential and are not guaranteed to make it in, though we'd ideally like to get as much in as is realistically possible, both from this list and from your suggestions.
Just as a quick update! Some additional information regarding this discussion has been posted here: https://www.wolvden.com/chatter/topic/520422/?pid=520954 When proposing this topic, it was more in line with "social groups" or communities. This would allow you to join multiple groups with a focus on different activities, interests, or subjects. For example: art/artists, breeding projects, roleplaying, specific play styles, or just a place for a group of friends to hang out together on the site. |

Clan hoards would be amazing, adding food, amusement, and recipes to share. Since winter is hard for some people, having a community to back them up would be mega helpful and create a sense of community. Clan leaderboards? Maybe additional quests that give points and rewards at the end of each week or month. Can earn points through fishing, successful hunts, completing regular daily quests etc A separate clan shop? For new decors and backgrounds that you can buy. Maybe the point system I've mentioned could be used here, use points to unlock or purchase things from the shop! That would also encourage people to join a clan instead of playing alone. Can't wait to see how this feature plays out! |

A clan shop would be really cool! Also, possible terms for clan could be: Club Pack Group |

I forget if raffles are planning on being added as an in-game mechanic... but clan raffles would be lovely. I also like the idea of clan leaderboards. CLAN BOSS FIGHTS My big suggestion is clan boss fights! Maybe a daily and/or weekly opponent that you can "join forces" to defeat for rewards. Mechanic wise I think it could be fairly simple... you'd just hit a button that says "join the fray" and your lead would lose a certain amount of energy. It would then compile all participating member's lead wolves' stats to determine if they "beat" the enemy. And then when the battle is complete, if the clan was victorious, they'd gain experience and items for the whole clan! A potential stat drop for the participating wolves could be fun too. Alternatively, this could be for pack members and they could be unavailable during the duration of the fight - like they had gone out on a scout or a hunt. You'd select your wolf that you'd like to participate instead here though. For pack members, if they were unavailable though, I'd imagine it would have to be for shorter fights than a day or week. Maybe between 1-3 hours? I think this would be fun and encourage collaboration between members! :'D |

Edit: a new role? Some sort of Warrior role. Maybe one or two slots like with scouts, they can be sent out to "train" to gain exp daily, perhaps in a new clan exclusive biome with the chance to gain individual stats (again, like how scouts have a chance to gain wisdom in Glacier or strength in rainforest). They are the only wolves that can be sent to "boss battles" but can still serve a purpose in daily pack life. |
