SYDNEY SISSON

GENERATION ONE

“Sid”

Age Appearance: 29

Actual Age: ??? [above 2000+]

Species: Human

Pronouns: She/Her

Appearance:

Sydney has light tan skin covered in freckles. She has a few scars along her forehead shaped like small circles. This is from acidic rain on a planet where her visor broke. She was lucky to be right next to her ship at the time of the storm, or it could have been far worse. Her hair is an onyx black, cut in a simple bob with bangs. She has very few white highlights in it, mostly on the sides. These are not from age, but are rather the only remains of a simple fashion trend that was on Earth thousands of years ago. This hairstyle was the same one she had when she left Earth so long ago.

Sydney has ice blue eyes framed by long eyelashes. Somehow she still wears mascara, though her supply is running low and she will soon be out of it forever.

Her jawline is very sharp, though her chin itself is small. She has large, round lips that are always stuck in a scowl or neutral expression. Sydney has a greek nose with a nose ring as an accessory.

On her “day-to-day” life she alternates between three pairs of earrings - a pink flower pair, an amber pair with ancient, real scorpions trapped inside, and a dolphin pair. The only three outfits she has with her all consist of a long sleeved shirt with jeans or leggings. The most commonly worn shirt of hers is a plain white one with horizontal black stripes and a gray gradient towards the bottom. There is always the ever-present tank-top beneath these shirts that she hasn’t changed out of in at least fifty years. This is not an exaggeration.

As for her spacesuit, it is an old earthly model, colored navy blue. In her last weeks on earth she had taken a bottle of spray paint and plain white nail polish to the helmet, giving the top a lighter blue gradient with small twinkling stars. These have since faded, leaving only a trace of the decoration she’d once attempted.

Sydney is a tall woman, measuring 5’11, just barely missing the 6’0 mark. She isn’t too skinny, nor is she too chubby, but she is very muscular due to training. You wouldn’t send a dainty person to space and expect them to survive, after all.

Personality:

Years of a solitary existence and being the only one out here speaking English has made Sydney a rather miserable person. Very rarely does she ever smile as there’s not much to smile at out here - every planet she meets only gets a moment of her attention before she shifts it somewhere else. However, certain looking animals or a surprise of a living, vibrant planet has the highest chance of boosting her usually grim mood.

Sydney treats intelligent, machine building aliens as lower lifeforms. She very rarely comes across them, but when she does she will avoid them. She can be extremely rude to aliens. Sydney looks down her nose at them, refusing to call them what they prefer to be called and instead sticking to “alien,” flinching away when reached for, taking notes on their behavior without consent and treating them like animals. If in the presence of one with her space suit off, her hand will always be hovering above the handle of her weapon. For someone so lonely she is awful to the only things capable and willing of communicating with her.

Sydney has only a few things in her belonging stash besides supplies for survival and clothing. She has a picture of her and her late girlfriend, pictures of her family, a selfie of her and her dog, and an okapi Webkinz. These are all she has left of her normal life. Maybe the only items left of Earth.

Sid’s morals are very hard to understand. She has no problem masarcering intelligent life - they are not her kind, they are not human, they are therefore not really alive. She is the higher lifeforce in all situations unless proven otherwise. However, she cannot handle killing animals that vaguely resemble dogs. One of the only things she misses more than human companionship is that of her pet. For some reason this carries over into dog-like aliens and she will not hurt them unless they hurt her first.

Sid has a strong belief that Earth no longer exists, and if it does, they probably no longer have her space program going if humans are even alive. It’s been thousands of years. She’s been forgotten. So, Sid mass uploads her discoveries to a universal intelligence, trying to make herself useful because the whole reason she left her life behind is useless now. She knows it’s useless because the only reply she gets when she talks into her microphone is a deafening fuzz. She’s had the microphone on for a thousand straight earth years and no response has come.

She keeps a diary in her space-ships digital memory, recording her voice for the next person to take up her ship once she finally, inevitably, dies. She records once or twice a week, logging her discoveries, reminiscing old times, trying to explain who she is and how she got here. Sometimes she cries. Sometimes she laughs. She never replays her recordings when she’s done. She just hopes when she dies her ship is unharmed so someone knows who she was, that she existed. That she was human.

She calls herself a “rogue.” Free of any leader, allies with no one, she travels this infinite plain researching and logging her own discoveries, uploading them, and moving on. The most enjoyable, maybe only enjoyable, part of floating through an endless void is the life within it. She despises some of it and loves the others.

As a normal, human person, free of her spacecraft and spacecraft battles, she is a sad woman who believes in no gods, no redemption in the end. She is a God herself by now, immortal, forever young, and so far all powerful in the face of the enemy. She likes to talk and look at her pictures and items she took from Earth. That is all she can hang onto now.

That is all she has left.

Amery Murphy

Appearing Age: 28 years

Actual Age: 327 years

Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her

Appearance:

Amery is rather normal for her species, being 6'2"(a bit on the shorter side), and weighing about 200 lbs, which is also a very average weight for her specie. She has a stocky build, but is still very slender for her build. Because of Ame's pretty average body build, height and weight, it's only normal for her to have a pretty basic look for her specie Tekenu. Her skin is a nice, red toned lightish brown with very light cream okapi markings along her legs and arms. The okapi markings eventually, below the knee, go full cream, no stripes. And like the okapi, just before their hooves, it has dark brown. This dark brown sit just below her wrists and right above her ankles.

Amery's face is rather narrow but round. Taking the same cream as her legs, the color fades from her nose up the bridge of her nose, aswell as a tiny bit onto the cheeks but not much. On her nose sits a small, few centimeters tall horn that, over evolution, has become pointless other than a status indication. Ame's nose is rather Grecian, speaking in human terms. Her eyes are wide and very round. They have a dark moderate blue, with black round pupils. She has eyelashes, while not very prominent. They are the same color as her hair, if not lighter, being a golden/blonde color.

Amery's hair is rather long for the specie of Tekenu. It goes to her middle-upper arm. Ame's hair is a common color and common style aswell, golden blonde and small dreads, up in a ponytail.

Personality:

Amery is very, very work revolved. As her specie is a big provider for many of the technology you see, she was raised to think and act as if she is above everyone. That there, the computer tech your using? Her family most likely made that, or someone she knows. Ame is a bit of a book worm when she isn't helping the others with problems, fixing something, teaching someone, etc. She often reads books to learn new skills or languages. Sometimes she might read a book about other species, love and even children's books. While Ame is smart, that doesn't make her a know-it-all, actually, she'd rather keep her head down if no one directly talked to/searched her out. Because Amery is constantly quiet and not talking much, it gives her more time to watch others and psychoanalysis people. Though it's a bad habit of hers to jump to conclusions about certain people, whether it be because she thinks of them as a good person or doesn't like them. Amery also doesn't know anything about relationships more than parents, siblings and friends. To have a significant other on her world just meant you were married, most likely arranged.

Amery loves to write about animals and new findings, especially when its new to her. She often gets a small smile from new things and seeing worlds. To others, it might just be another job, another day, another planet, but to her it's everything. It's new experiences, animals, people. She loves learning how things work, especially the planets they visit.

Species: Tekenu
