Weekly/Monthly Challenger Quest

Weekly/Monthly Challenger Quest

So, while talking with friend about their idea of adjusting the opponents defeated quest (can be found here) I figured with the adjustments there could be a new Challenger type quest, you can take once a week or a community monthly challenger quest to have everyone working together while waiting for next Lunar event or after it to have something more to look forward to.

Weekly Challenger Quests

- "Defeat x opponents" - with adjusting how packs work with counting for how many opponents you defeat (going from 1 to maybe 2-3), we could have a weekly quest of defeating 50, 100 or 150 enemies (depending what would fit the best) with common rewards being food/toy/herb bundles, let's say 3xbundle; sc, bigger amount of EXP (although you already get exp by battling, so healing salves or lucky feet would be a better choice), random assortment of trophies. Uncommon rewards being healing items, bigger amount of bundles, more sc. And rare rewards being Groove items or medium/high win slots items. And, for all, a possible small stat boost.

- "Complete x SUCCESSFUL hunts" - as we know, not all hunts are successful, but within a week you should be able to successfully finish at least a few of them, especially if you have good hunting party. Rewards same as quest above. Why successful hunts and not just complete x hunts like the normal quest? Well, it is supposed to be a challenge, and the rewards will be greater for that too.

- "Submit x fish" - self explanatory, play the fishing game and submit fish through the week to finish. This quest could possibly have the legendary catch toy/food rewards based on the biome you are in.

- "Submit x [type] items" also self explanatory.

Monthly Community Quests

With this we could have a monthly community counter, similar to Lioden and the event bar filling.
This would count the opponents defeated, successful hunts, submitted fish, items etc. on the site, maybe have own dropdown to submit items.

It would also be fun to have two trackers - each individual getting a reward for their involvement, as in - the more you help with filling the bar, the better tier your reward. This could have the groove items or maybe specific items made for each months quest type - decors or backgrounds or crafting recipes for decors/backgrounds/bases/eyes etc.

And the main goal finished rewards that everyone who participated would get - maybe different biome specific decors or backgrounds, bundles, sc, exp etc.

For those who already have level 20 leads
Maybe, instead of giving the exp from the quests to the lead you can pick which wolf will get the exp boost. Or, instead of exp, give them more sc/trophies/other items that will be more usable than the experience.
Or a small stats boost to chosen stat, let's say, a +5 to stat of their choice.

This would open such an interesting thing, and it doesn't sound very complicated to implement, as things are already being tracked for the Leaderboards. I'm certain it'd give regular players something interesting to look forward to once the dailies are done while the Lunar event isn't going on.

Support! Both solo challenger quests and community quests (with individual participation rewards) sound like a lot of fun.

For those who already have level 20 leads
Maybe, instead of giving the exp from the quests to the lead you can pick which wolf will get the exp boost.

This is a neat idea. Maybe exp rewards could be given in the form of an "exp bone" (sort of like bone marrow) and you could choose any adult wolf to crunch the bone and get the exp.

Would love to see more challenges in WD with this structure. I think it would help to reward casual play styles. You could unlock tiers if you played a little each week but if you wanted to grind for a challenge you could do that too.

This is a fun idea! I've just recently become active again after not playing since launch, and though I think it's great that the questing has been overhauled I kind of miss the more challenging quests, even if they were sometimes frustrating - I just like having something to work for each day and now they're either instantly done or too luck based to matter (I have terrible trophy luck). Harder quests with longer deadlines would definitely help fill that void for me!
