I know I shouldn't be worrying about this until later but I figured I'd get this off my mind now than later but what age does your lead wolf decide to retire for a new lead wolf to take over?

Lead wolves always live until 8y and, after they die, you can choose a new lead wolf for your pack.

If you want to change the lead earlier, you have to pay a GC fee.
But remember that your lead wolf can't retire from their leading position and become a "regular" wolf. Retiring a lead wolf early means killing them and they will go to the pack dynasty as if they died.
