1x1 Lit/Adv. Lit, Long-Term, Discord

Hey everyone! 

This is kind of a long-shot, but you know, shot your shot 2020, am I right?

I go by Grimm on here, but I'm looking to keep my roleplays hosted on Discord, where you'll notice I go by Venus/Ven/V (whichever you prefer). I'm 30, and so I prefer my roleplay partners be 21+ for my own comfort. I'm aware that 18 is legal age most places, but I'd rather avoid teens of any age and 20-year-olds - sorry in advance! If you're 25+, that's even better, really.

I'm what goes by literate to advanced literate these days (the terms have changed a lot since I entered the game back in 2001 on Neopets, let me tell you), meaning I work hard to keep quality when writing in character. Similarly, my posts are also a bit on the longer side, since I'm often exploring the setting, my character's state of mind, all that good stuff. That said, I'm totally fine with people who identify as semi-literate, and I'm completely happy with shorter posts provided you give me enough to reply to.

I love fandom roleplays in particular, and I'll list what I'm into lately below in order of cravings. Within fandoms, I seldom do/take OCs, with the exception of Sailor Moon Silver Millennium era AUs, since I love building the various alien nations and we know those characters weren't direct reincarnations in the show/manga/live-action/musicals.

In terms of what I like in roleplays: world-building is my major thing. I want believable worlds with lore we've come up with, I want to be able to explore a setting and really sink our teeth into it. Based off of that, you can probably guess that I do like a good AU every now and again - but I am fond of canon settings as well for certain fandoms. I generally do FxF pairings, though I'll dip a toe into MxF and MxM as side pairings/side characters - I prefer the main to be FxF. That said, I do value plot above all else, so while I want shipping in the rp, I want us to have a good time with big ideas even more. I'm fine playing multiple characters to carry a scene or to create villains, give us conflict, or just add to the story as needed. I also include a lot of themes in my roleplay and don't shy away from violence, language, etc. If you have limits, let's discuss them openly before we get going!

I like long-term roleplays, and I appreciate chatting ooc as well, even if it's just to share some cruddy little meme one of us has found. I tend to link songs that remind me of my character/your character/our ships, and if I'm feeling particularly inspired, I'll probably make a playlist. If you aren't the sort of person who likes hearing from your partners ooc, I may not be the right person for you.

So, with all of that said, here are the fandoms I'm currently into, along with ships I like for the characters I play. RPs in bold are my current cravings, and I will love you eternally if you pick up an rp there with me.

• Sailor Moon - This can be based on the manga, the 90's anime (Japanese version, please - not the DiC/Clover dub), or PGSM (the 10 year anniversary live-action). I love doing past life roleplays within this realm as well, so if you're less familiar with the fandom, know that a verse exists where we can basically make everything up. I play as Hino Rei/Sailor Mars/Princess Mars, and I only ship her with Aino Minako/Sailor Venus/Princess Venus. You would make my day, week, month, year if you were willing to pick up Venus for this.
• Overwatch - I typically play as Hana "D.Va" Song. I absolutely believe she's an expert in parasocial relationships and has a series of masks she wears to protect herself. Since it's spooky season, I have some supernatural AU ideas for this one (shapeshifter or kumiho Hana, anybody?). I ship her with Yuna "D.Mon" Lee or Sombra, and I'm usually most comfortable if we can age Hana up a few years into her mid-20's. It doesn't super make sense to have her at 19 with everything that's happened in her life so far, so if you're willing to retcon that if we stick to canon, I'd be thrilled. 
• RWBY - I play Blake Belladonna here, and I'll ship with Yang Xiao-Long (primarily this, because I love my Bees!) or Weiss Schnee. I'm caught up on the series so far and eagerly awaiting volume 8. I don't have as many ideas for this one, but AUs are also still beloved here. I do have one solid idea inspired by the Umbrella Academy as a possible AU, so if you'd like to hear it, drop me a line!
• Supernatural/Gifted - I've got a few OCs (and can create some others) that I'd love to trot out for a supernatural roleplay (not the fandom - think werewolves, witches, etc.). If you've got the urge, I'd love to work on something along these lines, too.

I don't really do non-fandom roleplays, but I am willing to discuss taking characters from the above three fandoms and dropping them into alternate situations. I'm not a huge slice-of-life roleplayer (I like action and adventure and angst and hurt and comfort and all of that), but I don't mind peaceful moments/fluff in my roleplays. If you decided you wanted a roleplay based in, say, the AtLA/LoK universe, we can make that work! Ditto things like Umbrella Academy.
