(EDIT !) possible mutations? (appearance)

Similar to Linden, maybe a random chance or encounter occurs that your female with certain requirements has a Coyote or Dog hybrid pup. Dog hybrids could introduce new markings or other traits that are domestic specific characteristics, such as curled tail and floppy ears like you mentioned. Coyote hybrids could possibly have bigger tails, bigger ears, coyote base/markings/eyes, etc. 

An interesting thing about wolves in the wild, is that a majority of wolves are not pure wolf, and have a small percentage of both Coyote and dog blood. The black coat color in wolves, is actually linked completely to dogs, so black is a dog genetic that happened to influence wolves so much and is now a dominant gene. The K locus.

This is more theorizing, about how Coyote hybrids occur. Its believed that Coyote hybrids became more common because of the low amount of wolves in the US. Because, imagine a mane wolf has just dispersed from his pack, and he's lonely ya know? He wants a girlfriend but can't find one anywhere that wants him. Instead he makes friends with a Coyote and pairs with her instead (however innocent or horrible you think it would be).

Anywho, major support for this idea.

I feel like we might see mutations like Chimera maybe. If so, that would be very neat!

I would laugh if ‘hairless’ showed up as a non-lethal mutation, whether it’s totally hairless or like a chinese crested look.

I would love any mutie that affects Lineart and is non-lethal!

I really want to see blind and deaf wolves!

I'd love to see a jackal hybrid... or maybe an African hunting dog.

As for a primal WD version, I think a Dire wolf, and maybe a few other bigger or smaller ancient wolf breeds.

Blind, deaf, hairless/furless, toothless maybe? Chimeras would be amazing to see as well.
