Coeden started but paused, falling in line with the adolescent. Twyni started leading the way back, keeping at a calm pace. "I never got your name, if you're comfortable telling me? You can wait until you meet our alpha but you will need to tell her your name." She stated, tail swaying comfortably as they headed back towards the inner border and camp.
Austria looked at her, walking slowly, yet keeping pace with them. "A-..Austria..." She looked away shyly, she looked at the ground and lightly hopped over a uprooted oak root and caught up a bit. She could scent more wolves and she started to get nervous again. Memories rushing back like flood water.
The young she-wolf looked into the tunnel, barely seeing the male's form slipping through. She sighed and cautiously padded into the tunnel, slowly making her way through to the other side. She did her best to avoid slipping, she slipped slightly but was able to regain her balance and emerge into the open. She looked at the camp, the sun shone slightly, cascading soft dapples of gold upon the ground, she was mesmerized by the natural beauty. She finally came to her senses as she looked at all the strangers before her, she crouched slightly again.
Coeden stepped out, nudging Austria carefully away from the entrance where she had paused. "Deilia!" She called, spotting the she-wolf. "Is Fy here?" The older wolf came closer, eyes taking in the adolescent. "She's not, but I can help if that's what you need?"
Twyni smiled at the other. "Yes please! This is Austria, the adolescent who we've smelled around our borders!" The male explained quickly. "Oh! Well, hello Austria. I'm Deilia, Fy Anwylyd's mate. Fy is the Queen, or alpha, of our pack. I'm guessing you're needing somewhere to stay for a bit?"
Austria flinched at Twyni's sudden tone as he called the older wolf. She watched him pad over and fear gripped her, but she tried to keep her cool. She listened respectfully. As he finished she nodded a little, she looked at the ground, scared to look at the large wolves all around her, she didn't want to show disrespect in any way, she was just scared.
Deilia smiled slightly. "You don't need to worry about dominance or anything, we keep pack roles simply to make it easier but prefer to regard ourselves as equals. Fy and I simply announce decisions." The she-wolf said, taking in Austria's posture.
"Coeden, you take Austria to get some food while I find a place for her to sleep. Fy will come around soon, I'm fairly sure she's close to home anyway." Deilia said and Coeden nodded at the Queen before looking over at Austria. "Come on then, we'll get you something good to eat and then you can rest if you'd like."
She nodded and followed Coeden, nodding to Deilia respectfully as she slowly followed the she-wolf. Her paws hurt and her bones shown through her thin pelt. She staid close to the she-wolf, hoping no wolf would hurt her. She was still nervous, constantly looking over her shoulder once in a while, and trying to stay close to Coeden.
"You'll be alright, no one here will try to hurt you. If they do, they'll have Fy to answer too. Our Queen doesn't take well to those who betray the pack." Coeden reassured Austria, noticing her glances around the group. "Really, the most dangerous wolves here are the elders. Don't wake them up from their naps." She laughed softly, pausing at the prey pile. "Take whatever you want, we have more than enough!" She said, stepping away to let Austria choose without feeling threatened or anything. She knew some wolves, especially when they first come into new packs could be very protective of their food.
Austria smirked at the joke, sadness slightly hit her in her remembrance of her grandfather, the former leader of the pack before he was retired. After the betrayal, he was to step up to take the role of pack leader after Night secretly killed the current leader. But as life goes, Night took Wise raven's life as well.. Austria sighed sadly and looked at the prey. she spotted a fattened rabbit and took it, holding it in her mouth gently as if it were her own puppy. She was ready to follow again.
