Syniad LMAO I don't know why I didn't think of it before. Also, small timeskip to sundown!))
Fy Anwylyd came bounding in from the tunnel just as the sky started to change colours. "So sorry I'm late! Caught the scent of another wolf, not the one you've been worried about. A leader, I think. Anyway! Hope I didn't keep you from starting!" She called out towards the small group, slowing to a trot.
Coeden grinned, standing up and heading back to the nursery. "Austria! Are you awake, ready for some more food?" she asked, trying to be quiet incase the adolescent wasn't quite awake yet. Twyni went over to Fy, explaining what had happened today.
Austria awoke, still quite tired, she lifted her frail body up and carefully padded out to Coeden, drowsy. She pawed her muzzle trying to wake herself up. She seen Twyni talking to a wolf and thought it might be Fy, yet she wasn't sure. She looked to Coeden and back to the Fy, a bit nervous.
"Oh sorry, you could've kept sleeping! There's always left over food. But here, come meet our Queen!" Coeden smiled and started towards the dark grey she-wolf. "Fy! This is Austria!" Coeden called, slowing to a stop in front of the older wolf.
"Hello Austria. I'm Fy Anwylyd, but everyone calls me Fy. I heard that you're the stranger who was hanging around our borders? It's good to finally see you." Fy cast a gaze over her coat, concerned at the looseness.
Austria nodded, watching the older wolf with great respect, she listened to her, open to questions if she needed them. "i-i'm s-sorry th-that I was o-on your l-land... i-if I smelled th-them I would be f-far away f-from here b-by n-now.." She flattened her ears slightly.
"Oh no, you're fine! I was worried that it may be a young adult, possibly trying to infringe on our territory but now that I can see you, I think it'd be horrible to let you continue living by yourself. Do you have anyone to rely on?" Fy asked, sitting down. "Oh, Twyni, Coeden, feel free to go start eating as well." Twyni nodded and wandered off but Coeden stayed, sitting down as well.
Austria sat, she thought about the question. "I used to.... b-but not anymore.." She looked down at her paws, the memories hurt like a thousand cougar teeth to the heart. She shook her head to stop herself from crying, she sighed and got ready for the next question.
Fy nodded and Coeden sent a glance at the Queen. "Just one more question, then you can go eat and rest. Are you planning on leaving anytime soon? We'll gladly protect you and ensure you have food but if you plan to leave then we'll give you enough for the day but that's all we can provide." Coeden frowned, about to speak but the Queen glanced at her. "Winter is coming, and we have pups due. I can't afford any losses or loose ends." and the brown she-wolf nodded, understanding but not entirely happy.
Austria looked away, ears lowered. "My pack.. the leader is a traitor... I have been running from him all my life... its best if I leave.... Night is still after me and the last thing I ever want to do is have anyone hurt....I couldn't go on another second if those pups were hurt by Night.... i'm not sure when or if I will leave... but... if I do.... thank you... for everything.... I say this now cause I don't know when I will be able to say it another time.... there is a chance I might die.. but.... even if I do.. I will see them all again..." She looked up at the sky, looking at the clouds slowly role by. "Night is just going to keep hunting me until i'm dead... i'm his prey... I need to keep running..."
Fy glanced at Coeden who just shook her head, not knowing of this. "Pup, you'll be safe here. First of all, if that wolf comes here, I myself am able to fight. I didn't get these scars for nothing. If I'm not able to fight, I have at least five more than capable hunters. Some may look delicate and gentle but they have yet to fail our pack. Secondly, if this wolf is such a traitor, I imagine a pack wouldn't want to be led by that. I don't think he has any loyalty on his side, if any." The Queen spoke, tail swishing around her paws neatly.
Austria sighed and looked at her paws. "I know.. he has followers though.... those wolves are stronger than we are... but.... I don't know what th-they'll do......" She looked away, trying to think of a reason to leave but she couldn't. She sniffled and just looked her paws in fear and sorrow.
