Athelia navigates through the mountain territory- somewhat unfamiliar. She's been here once or twice but never quite in this area. Which makes sense- she's never actually visited their new alliance pack. The Heavenbound pack.

She keeps her nose and ears alert for signs of another wolf- maybe even Carnage if she's lucky enough to run into someone familiar. Her own pack is about two hours travel behind her as she scouts ahead for them. The upcoming winter would be a great time to settle near their new friends- maybe lend a hand with hunting if needed.

Her fur was chilled by the fog settling on the ground, even with the sun high in the sky. Was that the snap of a twig ? She paused in her tracks, ears swiveling around. If she'd been spotted- it might be best for her to sit and wait to be escorted back. Heavenbound seemed friendly enough- but she'd also run into plenty of less friendly wolves, and a few scars are more than enough reminder to hesitate before bolting ahead.

So she sits- hopefully a pack member will spot her soon so she can talk to Raccoon....granted she's in camp at the time...

Rustling comes from bushes, as a paw emerges from the foggy leaves... Carnival slips into view, not noticing the other wolf at first. Not for long though, as she quickly spots her and snaps her head to face her dead on. "Hey! You! Your on heavenbound's territory, you know. You are trespassing! here to steal our prey for winter? Well I'll stop you! I'm going to make sure my pack gets enough food." She said, flicking her tail as her golden band hung around her neck rattled.

She examined, and immediately her gaze was pulled towards the wolf's pelt. It was pretty, and intricate. A little smile crossed her face, but she forced it down.

Athelia fluffed up her fur- but remained seated. Sometimes her size can be a bit intimidating to others- so she settled for a tail thump instead. Her ears flattened bashfully as she offered a grin. "Ah yes, sorry for intruding. I was actually hoping to run into Carnage? I'm Athelia...er, I don't know if he's mentioned me or not."

She could feel her fur grow warm with embarrassment under Carnival's gaze- maybe she should have howled before entering. She was sure it would be fine though- hopefully intruding wasn't too serious of an offense. "I'm leading our pack to settle nearby- we were hoping to maybe meet and solidify an alliance?"

Athelia's fur settled as she looked over the other wolf- she hadn't seem many with her coloring. It reminded her of a sunset. She appreciated the scar as well- knowing she had a few of her own. Hopefully it didn't mean Carnival was too ready to fight though haha.

"Uh- it's nice to meet you though! I did bring some offerings of peace." Shaking her thoughts away she offered a small bundle of items out to Carnival.

"Oh!" She said as she was handed a bundle of herbs. "Thank you... wait.. oh my gosh, your Athelia? From the cartico pack?" The wolf exclaimed, her tail starting to wag behind her as a smile crept on her face. "Yes, I know who you are. I'm sorry for yelling at you.." she said with a nod. "Thats c-" Carnival's voice was interrupted by another, and the shaking of a bush. Out came a familiar face... Carnage! "Now now, Carnival, we dont want to be rude to our neighboring packs, now do we?" He said as he smiled and dipped his head at Athelia. "If your going to be leader, Carnival, you need to hold alliances and cross pack friends dearly." He noted to the young heir.

Athelia quickly jumped to her feet and bowed respectfully to Carnival. "My apologies! Carnage didn't mention you were the heir! Hopefully I didn't offend you. It's great to meet you!" She beamed at Carnival brightly, looking up from her bow. "- and Carnage!" She straightened up and turned to the older wolf with a smile and a tail wag. "How are you?!"

Carnival smiled. "You didn't, I'm sorry for yelling at you." She said, moving so carnage could be next to Athelia. Carnage bowed his head and touched his muzzle to her shoulder in a polite greeting, smiling softly. "I'm good. I was lost in the prarie for awhile... but thankfully dunehawk and vermillion found me on one of their couple walks." He said, rolling his eyes playfully. he circled athelia, "What about you? how are you and the pack?" he asked, then stopped dead in his tracks. "Wait, you don't live in the mountains, at least that's how it was last time we talked. are you and your pack okay? do you need help?" he said.

Athelia smiled. "We are fine- we just move often. You know- strange moon rituals and what not." She laughed it off casually. "We figured we'd visit nearby- the mountains always has good hunting during winter! And maybe we can lend a hand with food as well if your pack runs short?"

"I'm glad to hear you were found though- I know Vetrius and Raccoon had been looking for you. Has she returned as well yet?"

"Ah, i see. well, i'm glad you will all be closer, for now at least!" he said happily. "I think we are pretty good on food, blackstone found 3 walrus pups at the beach." he said, licking his lips.

he nodded. "She has, though..." he trailed off, and side glanced at carnival, then shut his mouth. his shuffled his paws, then his eyes lit up. "I learned two new magic engravings! I learned them while in the dreamlands."

"Thats good to hear though! And how excited- I've found some good use from the one you showed me to begin with! And Vetrius was rather impressed with it too!" She puffs her chest out with a sense of humor before glancing at Carnival with a smile.

"Have you learned the engravings as well? I imagine Carnage has probably taught you as well?"

Carnival nods, and raises a claw and drags it through the soft dirt, creating a intricate pattern in the earth. Suddenly, a little portal appears, and through it looks like dense, spruce forest. Carnival removes her claw from the dirt, and the portal slowly fades away. She puffs out her chest, hopping athelia would find it impressive.
