NIB (aka "Clean") Breeding?

So I just kinda finished the clan, The Lineage/Heritage Breeders. The terminology is definitely still in the works. This group focuses on NIB which is Non-Line-Bred Wolves. However, there is also terminology/information about IB, In-bred, wolves. This group is still being worked on so the terms may change over time and more terms added as well. :) |

Also, since this is EA, most people already have clean wolves. So there's the question of whether NIB would even be neccesary if it's just the default playstyle. Wouldn't it be funny if inbreeding actually became the "deviant playstyle" of WD? That'd be hilarious! |

I don't NIB would ever become the default since inbreeding has no in-game effects and muties are easier to produce by inbreeding (known) carriers. I think playing with any kind of challenges is not something the majority does. |

And it MIGHT be hard to check out long heritages for inbreeding, especially since breeding males don't have to have unique names AND the fact that there is no inbreeding counter (as of now). |

Is Inbreeding more likely to produce muties not an in-game affect lol? Also, you could just as easily get two unrelated carriers and make muties that way. I think the inability to mutie rep is probably going to have an effect, but im not sure what. |

It'll definitely be interesting to see how all this plays out with the new mechanics and such. NIB might have an impact, but not as much as it has an impact in Lioden. |

@Jax No, inbreeding does not increase muties. Inbreeding carriers increases muties but that's because they are carriers not because of the inbreeding. |

@Elliebird- I’ll try and flesh out the Heirloom Wolves page a bit more once I get on my PC and try and do a standard definition and some sort of guidelines. Will probably try and get some input from @Coal and anyone else interested. Do the wolves all have unique ids? That may be a solution for tracking pedigrees. |
