A Leader's Questions...

Tilting his head at the question, Scathos met Stormstar's gaze, yellow eyes flickering between the female and her mate. "In many ways we do. My pack honors our fallen pack-mates by celebrating their lives. We do this in many different ways, when a hunter dies, we burry a small piece of prey with them, tell stories of them, and I personally lead a hunt with every adult member and howl out our grief after a successful hunt. " The male swallowed, they'd be doing that again soon. "For the most part, the spirits of our fallen either go to Tisone, also called The Silver Forest, or to Savax, which is also called The Shadow Planes. But some become wandering spirits, and stand on our earthy plane interacting with loved ones." His gaze flickered across the area before he met the gaze of another wolf. "How does your pack celebrate when a new wolf joins the pack, or when pups are born?" |

Magic smiled at the wolf's question. " i honor my ancestors and spirits. when their body died they went up to heavens" says Magic. Magic has a special contention with the spirits and her ancestors. |

@Nisha # 12663 ( didn't mean to skip your question. i will answer it now.) " we celebrate by welcoming them into the pack by giving them their favorite foods. . for pups that are born they are protected by pup sitters. " she says. |

Origin grinned, a sharp and cruel grin that only promised pain. "End helped me otherthrow the former leader, and run off the old pack. He brings down the prey, and deals with other creatures who dare cross our boundries. He is my warrior, my champion, and any foolish enough to challenge me, or Aether's Law will know only his teeth." Said wolf gives a rumbling growl before giving a question of his own. "How does your pack expand? Both in terms of territory and pack members?" |

Rain hadn't answered in a while, so decided to jump back into the conversation. She hadn't spoken to this wolf before, and he seemed like a cruel and uncaring wolf to her. A tyrant, she took note of that. The question was simple enough. "At this point in time, we don't take in any new members, and very few pups make it do adulthood. The mountains only provide so much space before you have to begin picking and choosing who to keep and who to discard." She paused briefly, choosing her words carefully. "In terms of territory, we are comfortable with the current size, it's a bit too expensive to expand too far. How we have gotten our current territory though, mostly through marking empty lands. Though, sometimes it requires more.. direct methods." She briefly bared her teeth on the last line. The gray shewolf tipped her head briefly and looked the former wolf in the eye. Rain tipped her head as her gaze swept the crowd. She picked a wolf at random and caught their eye. "What are your thoughts on Tala? We've all met her at least once, I'm sure. How do your current opinion of her compare to your first meeting?" Her gaze held steady, glowing with curiosity. |

Wildfire had just arrived to the gathering of leaders, barely having time to get his large frame comfortably seated when a she-wolf turned her attention to him and barked a question. As such he was caught off guard and hesitated a moment before answering, his ears swept tight against his wide skull. "Well, Tala set my paws on their current path, and for that I owe her greatly. I suppose when I first met the she-wolf I held her in very high regard. I was young and inexperienced and Tala is - well you know. Strong and fierce enough to get on well enough on her own. The longer I spend with my pack mates the less I'm able to understand her decision to live the way she does. Whether or not I understand, I have great respect for Tala." Wildfire's deep voice trailed off as he finished his monologue on Tala, but the crowd's attention remained fixed on him expectantly. "Uhh. How does your pack choose who is allowed to join and who gets chased off for trespassing?" Wildfire added, hoping to divert the attention onwards. |

Rose answered. “Ah, Tala. Frankly, she’s a big sweetie with a big heart! She’s taught me so much about being a leader! I liked her when I met her, and I like her now!” Catching the eye of another wolf, Rose asked, “What kind of code or rules does your pack follow?” |

If she were one of the shy ones, she may have backed out with the fear of being an unwanted interruption. Gladly, she wasn't one of them. She decided to secure her place by taking a question that had been missed, understandably. Her marengo tail swayed slightly as she plopped down on her rear. "In the beginning, we took in anyone who needed a home. To avoid overcrowding, we've started to limit it to those who can and do provide for the pack, either in physical ability or genetic diversity. Anyone else gets directed to one of the neighboring territories, since we can't house everyone. As for code and rules, we're not too strict. One thing we teach our pups, though, is to use role titles for their seniors. For example, a pup would call our herbalist not Eina, but Herbalist Eina. It's considered polite." She couldn't let the latest question be forgotten, either. Offering a polite smile, surveying the large group for a moment before adding, "What is your favorite pack tradition?" The question was offered for the next taker, the Leader idly licking at her paws as she waited. |

Birch laying on a rock perked his ears among the wolf's question & replied to them. " well we only have one tradition so far, one tradition is that once every three months we do an event called ( Giving Grace ). We do this event for the pups to learn to respect the older wolfs by working along side with hunting/scouting or collecting herbs & in return for all their hard work the older wolf gives a gift in return for their respect. " Birch gazed among the crowd while scratching his chin thinking of a question. " what type of training do you do with your pups? " |

Rain was curious, she wasn't very familiar with this wolf. She briefly glanced him up and down, taking note of his mannerisms and tone. As for the question, the answer was clear to the gray shewolf. "Well, those that make it to adolescence and receive a name, they get their role assigned based on their abilities and personality. They get put with the adults of that role, and learn by example." She tipped her head slightly as she spoke. "And when they reach one year, they get put to a test. They try their best at the tasks their role requires, and if they pass, they are formally assigned as an adult." She decided to leave out what happened to those who failed the test more than once, she suspected the other wolves wouldn't take too kindly to it. Rain briefly glanced around, her sharp blue gaze swept the crowd. She settled on one wolf in particular, and caught their attention. "How strict are your rules? Nothing specific, just in general. Are you very lenient, or are you very controlling of your packmates? And while we're on the topic, what level of respect towards you is expected of them?" |
