Mars just starred for a while, choosing his next words carefully. "For your information no adults would be coming to my aid even if you did" He snaps. His claws gripped the ground, "I sure as hell know that our packs are rivals and I give no care about it. If I could I'd leave and avoid them both. Im not in the mood to kill you and at this point I barely want to injure you..." Mars says, his tone sounds bitter. "I came to this river for a drink, I happened to see you and decided I might see how you might react... all of y'all are so naive and airheads that I hardly knew what to expect..." Mars says, his tones changes a bit to show a slight weakness and conflict between him, but it soon turns right back to bitter.
Zofia chuckled to herself softly, knowing she avoided a life threatening situation by standing up for herself. Her ears twitched as she listened to his words. An Outcast wanting to leave his pack? Thats rare, usually they are so self centered, they only know of their pack and nothing else. Maybe they aren't all that bad.. "Well, if you wanted to leave so bad whats stopping you? Just run off, don't look back. Whats the worst that'll happen to you?" She questioned him. Her body began to relax a bit after he mentioned not wanting to hurt her, yet her ears flickered about, staying alert just incase his mood was to change. "And for your information, we aren't airheaded. We just know of the stories of your kind, how malicious and violent y'all are. You can't blame me or anyone else on how we react to your kind." She mumbled softly.
Mars begins to relax, "No, I cannot... you are taught by what your pack believes... we post really no threat unless we are provoked or in a bad mood... avoid making us irritated then we're overall alright..." He says. "I can run away, but I'm likely to be found by my pack or even someone or something worse... and I'd rather avoid being killed if I can help it..." Mars admits, his tone is still a bit harsh, but not like it was. "I apologize for my irritability, it's just how I am taught and how my mind automatically reacts, Colbalt or not we're nearly all that way..." He says, his tail sways slightly, indicating his bit of relief and reassurance by her presence and reaction.
Zofia nods her head in agreement to what the pup says, her bright blue eyes begin to soften. "I understand. Its a logical reasoning behind that. I dont think I'd ever be able to leave my pack. They are far to kind and I love everyone in it. Plus, I dont think my parents would approve of their only daughter, heir to the throne, running off." She responded, her voice soft and tender. The young pup sat back on her haunches, her small, fluffy tail curled around her front paws. The wind at this point was howling against the trees and surface of the water. Her pale fur was still damp from splashing around in the river, and the slightest breeze was causing her to shiver ever so slightly yet her focus remained on the male in front of her. Her gaze fixated on his every word, "I accept your apology. I am to sorry, I'm not normally up front like that. I never met anyone outside my pack, let alone someone from across the river. I wasn't sure what your intentions were running up on me like that, I had to protect myself." Zofia responded.
Mars smiles, "Like you said, perfectly logical. At first I gave you no reason to trust me. I haven't ever met anyone across the river either, I normally only observe from a distance with a friend of mine..." He says. He turns around his ears turning towards his territory, "Unfortunately that friend has failed to show up..." He mutters. He shakes his head and sighs, he looks back to the pup, "May I ask your name?" Mars says.
Zofia smiles, "I'm sorry to hear that. I was hoping to run into my friend over here for breakfast. Unfortunately, just like you, he has not shown yet. So sadly, we are in the same predicament it seems." She replied, looking around sheepishly. If Borealis were to show, he'd throw a fit seeing an enemy on our side of the river. Zofia sighed and turned her attention back to the pup, "The names Zofia. Whats yours?" She questioned him.
"Mars..." He replies, then he flexes his claws. He sits himself down, trying to relax himself a bit more, his eyes brighten to show his light grey eyes, looking almost silver. Then out of nowhere, another wolf, a pup no doubt tackled Zofia.
Zofia chuckled softly and dipped her in respect, "Nice to meet you Mars. Maybe y'all ain't so bad after all." She responded. At this point, the sun began to glisten high in the sky, reflecting off the surface of water and into the female's eyes, causing them to almost glow a brilliant blue. The rays of the sun began to warm her chilled bones. 'Finally, some darn warmth' she thought to herself, having not been fond of the cold at all. All of a sudden, Zofia's ears twitched to the sound of paws galloping towards her, full speed. She jumped to her feet and as she spun around to brace herself, it was too late. Her small, frail body was pinned to the ground by some unknown force. "What the!?!" She screamed, the wind knocked from her chest, causing her to cough up and gasp for air.
"HERON!" Mars yells, slightly alarmed and relieved at the same time. Heron kept Zofia pinned, his teeth slightly bared. "Get off her Heron, shes alright..." Mars says. Heron's face changes immediately, he looks slightly confused and he gets off. "My apologies..." Heron says, stepping back.
