Wolf Skull Remnant Please Help! (need advice)

I have used almost all my wolf skulls as amusement for my wolves to get them turned into remnants for the pose variant. NONE of them have created a remnant. What am I doing wrong? I went through 16 of them and only have 4 left ;n;

I think u have to actually Shred them, instead of using them-
u use remnants for crafting, the actual item pre-shred is just usable and doesnt give remnant--- i think 		edward
