Remnants Adjustments

Today, we've introduced some small adjustments to remnants in the hopes that things can become clearer for everyone. We understood it was difficult to figure out which items gave remnants and which didn't, and so we've added in a couple of indicators to clarify this:

There's now a checkbox in hoard that you can enable to filter to only items that drop remnants when used up.

There's now an additional filter in the Item Catalogue, enabling you to only look through items that drop a remnant when used up.

When checking an individual item in the catalogue, the page will display this notification underneath the item if it drops a remnant when used up.

Finally, when you go to use an item, a notification will display underneath it if it drops a remnant when used up.

Shredding

That's not all!

We've introduced a new tool today - Shredding!

You can access the Shredding tool via your hoard, by clicking the newest tab on the right. From here you're able to shred down and process your remnant-dropping items. Only items that drop remnants can be shredded in the shredding tool.

Shredding will take the remnant out of the item you are using and give it to you separately, as well as giving you an equivalent use Meat Scraps or Amusement Scraps. These items are essentially the scraps left from the carcass or toy you shredded, and can still be used to give hunger or mood boosts to your wolves. This means you are able to get the remnant out of your items before you use them up, and still have food or amusement uses left for the care of your pack!

You can shred up to 100 items at once, and you can shred both Food and Amusement items at the same time! Choosing food items with different rotting expiries doesn't matter either - you'll get different Meat Scraps items with rotting expiries to match all the carcasses you choose to shred. However, if you choose to shred amusement items, every 10 uses of amusement items will generate another Amusement Scraps item. This means that if you shred 50 Blue Jay Feathers, you will receive 50 Remnant: Blue Jay Feathers and five 10-use Amusement Scraps items. 55 Blue Jay Feathers would net you 55 Remnant: Blue Jay Feathers, five 10-use Amusement Scraps item, and one 5-use Amusement Scraps item.

Please note, if an item doesn't drop a remnant, it won't show up in the shredding tool to be shredded!

We hope this will help ease some frustrations with the remnant system and allow you to have more choice over your items, and when you want to craft.

Nesting Material Crafting Adjustment

With shredding comes a small change to crafting Nesting Material using Amusement items: you can now only craft Nesting Material using Remnants of these Amusement items. The amount of items required has not changed, as you still need 10 items to craft 1 Nesting Material—the only difference is that Amusement items have been removed as Nesting Material components and replaced with their Remnants counterparts.

Note that Herbs are still able to be used as Nesting Material.

Tweaks to Account Activation

While this change will not affect many of you who have already activated your accounts or received assistance with activation issues, we have now implemented a way for players to resend activation emails and change the email address connected to their accounts if they happen to enter the wrong email when registering.

If you happen to know anyone who experienced issues with receiving their activation code, you may want to inform them of this change, and perhaps redirect them to support@wolvden.com!

Congratulations to the players that won a breeding with last week's raffle stud!  You'll know if you won, as you'll have received a Game Notification in your inbox informing you of such!
