Best areas to find birds to fight

I have the 3 basic areas unlocked so far - mountains, forest, grasslands. However, I haven't run into any birds I can fight, and I need to beat some for the snake quest I got today. Any advice on where to find them? |

Grasslands has the most birds (2), the forest has none. You can find the best biomes for each possible battle quest here! |
