Summer 3, Year 1. Mountains Quick Summary: Raincloud joined the Burning Stars pack. Auburntail and Stormgazer finished scouting the prairie. Stormgazer became the breeding male and bred with Raincloud, who became pregnant with four puppies. Summary: The heatwave continued on, causing rising tensions inside of the pack, especially with Eaglewing being hostile to many wolves, fearing that they would turn out like Sunriseheart. Many of the wolves decided to go out hunting and exploring rather than stay cooped up together in the cave. Constellationstar was one of these wolves, although she spent more time with Eaglewing and her two pups, Smokepup and Tuffpup, than usual. Once again, Constellationstar was drawn in by the intrigue of the trading center, and went there once again. This time she met a light gray she-wolf, who asked for a few cones to join the Burning Stars. She exclaimed that she had met Stormchaser when he had been here and had fallen in love with him. So Constellationstar handed over the precious silver cones and let the wolf, whose name was Raincloud, join the pack. The very next thing Constellationstar did was to make Stormgazer breeding male and let him and Raincloud meet. Soon enough, Raincloud was pregnant. Constellationstar was rather curious about the future of her pack and went to the scrying stone, an odd, blue crystal that showed reflections of the future. Once she paid, Constellationstar gazed into the gem, which showed four beautiful pups. She could not keep the smile of her face, excited to see what the future pups would look like. Later that week, Auburntail told Constellationstar of the last of her findings in the prairie, and Constellationstar began to roam the area herself. |

Summer 4, Year 1. Mountains Quick Summary: Auburntail and Stormgazer finished scouting the riparian woodland. Constellationstar became sick with diarreha. The herbalist was unlocked and Raincloud became the pack herbalist, curing Constellationstar of her illness. Summary: Constellationstar had begun to feel very... off recently, and not just because of the heat. Honestly, it was no surprise to her when Tala showed up again, leading Constellationstar to an area of the woodlands that she had never seen before. It was a shaded dip postitoned under a large, gnarled tree with herbs scattered all around, held in place by heavy stones. Constellationstar met Herbert for the first time, and he diagnosed Constellationstar with diarreha, which Tala quickly cured. Raincloud became the first herbalist of the Burning Stars pack, foraging for herbs with which to make medicine. After being cured of her sickness, Constellationstar got right back to work, even building another cave out of rocks, logs, and leaves for the younger members of the pack, as her two pups were close to weaning. As always, the pack's two scouts, Auburntail and Stormhazer, had been hard at work trying to piece together a map of the forest, and they had finished the first scouting of the riparian woodlands. Constellationstar took her first few pawsteps there mid-summer, fighting a variety of creatures after she entered the trees. Even the hunters were doing well, enjoying the easier prey of summer. |

Summer 5, Year 1. Mountains Quick Summary: Treeshadow and Leafdapple joined the Burning Stars pack. Auburntail and Stormgazer finished scouting the coniferous forest. The lunar event started. Smokepup and Tuffpup weaned Summary: The heatwave had finally ended, bringing lighter, cooler breezes that made exploring rather pleasurable. While doing just that, Constellationstar met a light brown wolf by the name of Treeshadow, who readily joined the pack. Constellationstar's two pups, Smokepup and Tuffpup, were finally weaned. Tala appeared once more and taught Constellationstar how to train her pups. She decided to have Treeshadow tutor her pups in hiding lessons, which Tuffpup was particualary good at. Later on, Constellationstar assigned Drizzlefur as a mentor, pulling him from the Star Chasers and replacing him with Treeshadow. Once more, Constellationstar entered the trading center, this time buying passage for Leafdapple, a beautiful rust she-wolf who became another hunter. That night, when Constellationstar fell asleep, something odd happened: it was like she was awake again, but the world was different. She recognized this dreamworld, as she had been here once before. It was the Star Fields. After exploring for some time, Constellationstar woke up, surrounded by beautiful lunar tears. ( this one is shorter, more will be elaborated one tomorrow ) |

FlashbackWhat happened to Owl and Stream` "Constellation, come hunt with us!" I raised my head to as my littermate Owl bounced inside the cave. Owl had messy dark brown fur and big green eyes that, at the current moment, shined excitedly. Seeing me look up, Owl rushed up to me and jumped happily. "Stream and Eagle and I are going hunting! Eagle says that he knows a rabbit warren nearby, so we're all going to head over there and try to catch some bunnies. Please come with us!" Owl gazed straight into my eyes, sadly whimpering to try to convince me. Although I usually would have said no, as I am an apprentice and apprentices are not allowed out of camp without at least one warrior, something Owl said changed my mind. Eagle would be there. As always, I felt the familiar thrill of the mere thought of being around Eagle. So instead of staying here, I nodded at Owl and rose to my paws. Owl yipped happily and I followed them out of the cave and into the pine forest. Owl and I took a long, winding path through the trees, following the scent trail that Stream and Eagle had left when they came this way. Stream and Eagle were from the same litter, just as Owl and I were, and the four of us had been friends as long as I can remember. We used to be a bigger group, as Stream and Eagle had two more siblings, but both of them died to pox shortly before becoming apprentices. I miss both of them, even though many moons have passed. I focused on the path below my paws to distract me from thinking of my fallen friends. After padding through the forest for a few minutes, we finally arrived in a small clearing where Stream and Eagle were sitting, lazing about in the sun. "Hey you two!" Stream barked playfully, her pale blue fur shining in the warm sunlight that peeked through the branches. Next to her, Eagle perked up, a goofy grin appearing on his face as he spotted me. After quickly giving his fur a few good licks, he got up and came over to me. Although he stood right next to me, so close I could feel his fur brush mine, Eagle turned to face Owl. "The rabbit den is just behind those thorn bushes over there. The scent is fresh, so we are almost certainly going to find one" He spun slowly to face me, looking like he was about to say something, but Stream jumped in instead. "Finding prey is different from catching prey!" She added, and Eagle nodded in agreement. The four of us silently crept forward, Eagle leading the ragtag line and Stream bringing up the rear, right behind Owl. As we got into position around the warren to wait for signs of life, I could not keep my mind from wandering to Eagle. Summer 6, Year 1. Mountains Quick Summary: Duststorm joined the Burning Stars pack. Auburntail and Stormgazer finished scouting the riparian woodlands. Drizzlefur mentored Smokepup and Tuffpup. Raincloud reached her final day of pregnancy and was nested. Eaglewing was injured with an open wound but Raincloud made a salve and cured him. Summary: Constellationstar woke up in the morning and went to nuzzle her pups, but then remembered they were in another cave, far from her. Feeling lonelier than ever, she went outside to feel the end of summer breeze that blew through the mountains and was greeted by a very pregnant Raincloud, who told Constellationstar that Eaglewing had an open wound. After Raincloud finished making the open wound salve, Constellationstar instructed her to stay in her nest and relax a little. After expanding her territory a bit more, Constellationstar went back to the trading center and purchased a golden brown wolf with darker patches, The wolfs name was Duststorm, and she was a pupsitter. Upon returning home, Constellationstar was greeted by Auburntail and Stormgazer, who informed her that they had finished scouting the riparian woodlands. Constellationstar was not excited to explore that strange new place, and instead went to check on her pups, who had just finished a hunting lesson with Drizzlefur. Smokepup in particular seemed rather thrilled at the prospect of being a hunter some day. Constellationstar spent some time with her sons and, exhausted from many days of hard, merciless work, fell asleep. Once more, she dreamt of the Star Fields and magical animals and plants. The lunar tears she found there came with her to the waking world. |
