The reason that mummies are so rare in the modern day is because they were used in medicine and paint in the 16th and 18th centuries!

The part on the human femur that goes into the pelvic bones, the rounded end, looks like it would make a very good handle for a walking cane. Though it wouldn't necessarily be long enough, if material were to be added to the end, the entire bone would make a pretty good cane I'd imagine.
