hunting. opal responded. i have nowhere else to go anyway. she sighed and tucked her tail around her back talons with a very faint rattle. despite missing spikes, it still made faint noises.

First; her scales were brighter than anything he'd ever seen on another icewing. Second; she was covered in more scars than some of the veteran soldiers he knew.
