Donnie sat there surprised, he'd thought Carlos wouldn't want him to, but he was grateful to be able to let his brother and friends know. He made a group chat between himself, Monday, Lena(Monday's girlfriend), and his brother. "Hey guys, I'm gonna be gone for a while, I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I promise I'm okay. I love you guys." He sent the message and put his phone away. "God my head hurts like a bitch." Carlos mumbled, closing his eyes. "Here, pull over. I'll drive." He told him, knowing he shouldn't be on the road with only one good eye. Hey hon, I've got a round of finals to take, I'll be back in a bit! Wish me luck! ;-; )) |

"I'll be fine, I just need a minute." He said as he rested his head back on the seat. Once the light turned green, he drove again. He was breathing in through his mouth, not even wanting to try and breathe through his nearly broken nose. He kept his head kinda leaned back against the seat as he drove. He kept a look out for any mafia looking cars during all of this. |

If I didn't get at least a 95, Imma be pissed. )) He watched as Carlos struggled to drive, he was now having to lean his head back, and it was making Donnie nervous. "Hon, really. I can drive, you need to take care of that." He repeated, sounding worried. Carlos continued to drive, and Donnie was now seriously concerned. "Carlos, stop the car." He called him by his name, knowing that might grab his attention. |

Carlos glanced at Donnie, before he frowned. He sighed as he pulled over the car, "Alright." He said as he got out of the car walking towards the passenger side. |

As Carlos pulled over the car, Donnie unbuckled. He got out and hopped back in on the drivers side. Before driving again, he reached into the back seat where he had set the cold compress. He knew they wouldn't be able to stop driving until they were at least out of the state, so this was the best he could do for Carlos until they were able to stop into a hospital for his nose. "Here, use this." He sighed, holding out the compress to him. |

Carlos took it, "Thank you." He said with a tiny smile. He rested his head on the seat before he held the cold compress onto his nose and he closed his eyes. |

Imma just have them check into a motel or something lol )) He had been driving for several hours, and they were only about an hour out from the state border. Carlos had fallen asleep a little while ago, so Donnie had just thrown his jacket onto him as a makeshift blanket. Though Donnie didn't want to stop, they were running low on gas. He pulled the car into a gas station and gave Carlos a soft kiss on the cheek before going inside. He made sure to lock the doors, but the windows on the car were so tinted that he didn't worry anyone would see Carlos or question the blood on his face. He went inside and grabbed some snacks, along with a coffee. He kept the hood of his shirt up, and did his best to avoid being seen by cameras. |

Carlos hadn't meant to fall asleep but he did. He hadn't woken up at all until they had gotten to the gas station. He winced as he opened his good eye, and flinched at the brightness of the gas-station lights. He groaned a little at the pain felt in his head, stomach, and nose. |

Donnie had just payed the man at the register, making sure to pay cash so that they couldn't be tracked through credit. He carried the bags out to the car and got into the drivers seat. When he saw that Carlos was awake, he set them down before asking, "Hey hon. Feeling any better.?" He gave a small smile as Carlos nodded his head 'No'. "Well then, I guess I get to be the bringer of good news." He laughed a bit as he pulled a bottle of Ibuprofen out of one of the bags. He opened the container and handed two to Carlos, along with a bottle of water. While he took them, Donnie started up the car again. "In case you're wondering, we're only an hour out from the border." |

Carlos gave a nod and smiled softly, but after a moment he sighed. "I'm sorry for bringing this on you. Now your life is at stake and you're having to leave your job and friends and family all cause of me." |
