Does Your Pack Have Lore?

I'm in the process of making it

I heard my calling card of lore

I planned on actually making some gods and goddesses that my wolves worshipped, even if it sounds kinda silly. I did this with my lioden account too.

I'm currently still thinking of a backstory of how my leader Frostbite met her mate Avalanche. If you guys got ideas pleaseee tell me.

I've been writing my lore over the summer whilst waiting for the game to come out XD

Definitely in the process of coming up with lore, though I want to remain loose about it so I can simply write with/around things that crop up while I play the game. I have a very basic start on the den page, but I'll have to work on individual wolves when it's not almost 3AM. Lioden introduced some gods for events, so I'm gonna hold off on touching that here in case there's something planned for that. 

I've looked at some of the lore you guys have up (again, 3AM, will definitely read more after sleep), but I'm loving it all so far! I love to see all the different takes, the individuality, how deep or not different people go! Can't wait to see more, guys!

Also debating using a thread on Wolvden itself for lore/characters, or if I wanna set up a tumblr or a google doc for it all. Any suggestions on which seems the best option?

I think a thread on Wolvden is a good idea! I'm wrestling w the same thing myself-- I think I'd lean that way over a google doc so all the Wolvden stuff is in one place?

though some people are doing tumblrs, which also seems like a good option! Personally I might end up going that route? Who knows

but I'm w you about staying kinda "loose" w my lore- I like to write using in game events as like... prompts kinda? Like if a mutation is born in my pride, making that the next big 'story event' kinda thing.

Edit: just read the lore on your den page! I like the storm theme & the rules you've come up w for naming! Seems like a lot of ppl are coming up with cool naming conventions for their pack, it's neat!

I love this thread so much, oh my gosh. Everyone's ideas are so in-depth and unique! @Tharkenta I love the article you made. I love even more that you have your pack in the RDR2 universe, and I honestly can't blame you 👌 Also, @VagueShapes I really think it's cool how you name your wolves, with different tones of barks! And @Lively Spirits you have such an interesting idea for your pack, and I love it! I really enjoyed reading your lore! 💖

I've only just started chipping away at my own lore. I tried to do so with Lioden but didn't really manage to come up with anything I liked. So I'm trying to take it slow this time around and not force anything! Also trying to do a bit of worldbuilding, because writing about pretty stuff in nature is my jam ✌ That being said, so far I've put the most work into my den's page (mostly cave descriptions), and I've finally got little blurbs on each of my wolves' pages! It's all pretty Warriors-esque, but...I tried to add my own twists here and there, so 🤷‍♀️

I'm really toying around with the idea of making a thread to post random drabbles. I love to write, but I'd prefer to do just fun little snippets here and there rather than a whole dedicated story, y'know?

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for sure! I just love how creative this community is!~

I love your den page! Esp the mini cave-descriptions w the matching  emojis. & I like that you have all the wolves & their roles listed there-- does kinda have an "allegiances page of WC book" feel but totally not in a bad way lol!

also your leader is gorgeous-- White Irish looks so nice 😔

I'm w you on the drabbles rather than overarching story thing-- I like a long project, but it's fun to just have something to pop into & write a little scene in sometimes! Prob the direction I'll go w my pack too

I didn't do any lore back when I was active in LD, but I love wolves so much that I guess I'm gonna try here. So far I have a short blurb on the den page and I'm not sure where it's going to go from there or if it'll even turn into anything more than a den blurb, but...

This is the first time I've tried writing lore for anything like this. So it may not be very good but these are my attempts.

I'm planning to add to the individual wolves as important things happen in the game and stuff.
