"Warfare is never the answer to bigger things when there is a chance for peace. What I do not understand is your people. Same as you do not understand people who are not of your own but that does not cause for disrespecting others unless disrespect is due rightfully so." he stated seriously; low but calm as he glanced down at him. "I suggest you tell your father as such although I doubt he will comply. Your people never do regardless of what kind of olive branch is held out." his jaw clenched a little bit at the thought. "Just know we are evenly matched both in wits and skill on the battlefield Regnum Heir. I do not want war unlike what your people may believe. My people don't want war, it is only the corrupted minds of the kings who crave it as if they wish to continue the bloodshed of the centuries-long feud as if it is their destiny; a sort of destiny that will ruin the lives of many who want nothing more than to live their lives without fearing ruin around every corner." he never spoke in debates because his views were nothing like those of his family or those of the other kings and thus he was kept away from debates and the meetings of kings all because others craved war more than they cared for the lives of their people. It was a sick and twisted mind that would duel the lives of others like pawns on a chess board. Reaching up to rub at his temples he turned for the door. He knew this time just like every other time he dared speak his mind to someone of the other debating party that his words would go unheard in favor of pleasing the king. But the bloodshed needed to end. The faults and the mistakes of their forefathers should never have extended this far into their blood tree. They were never meant to bear the burden of centuries-long grudge. Every generation should be hopeful to hold to their beliefs and their trust; their people's honor. Not those who left behind creases in their wake soaked in blood. He did not want war. Rhys did not often speak of it but he did not particularly want war either he followed their father's footsteps and that was such a savage way to go. "But I congress, no one wants to hear a lament that no one will follow." he just wanted peace and he had a way to achieve it but no one dared to listen to the Second Prince when his presence was never needed but to diffuse a situation. |

He wouldn't start a fight with the other prince, such a thing would surely bring disappointment upon him. This lecture that he was receiving intimidated him and he once again didn't know what to do or how to react. His blackened tail curled in awkward ways. "My realm mistakenly neglect to educate me on how to converse with foreigners." He hesitantly started, avoiding blaming where blame was deserved. It was almost like he was biting his tongue to not argue with the second prince's words about his homeland. Regnum Caelorum was righteous, blessed, holy, these were all things that'd been ingrained into his mind. He didn't have the same free will of thought that the others of the court did, they weren't as fully influenced as Ori had and has been. "For the sake of knowledge, I may consider what you have spoken." It seemed diplomatic, the so called divine beings weren't meant to take suggestions from lesser beings. Lesser beings were anyone outside the court, their own people included. |

Kieran blinked registering the words making him turn himself fully to study the other. Why would his realm 'mistakenly' neglect to educate the prince of others outside of their kingdom? Was the Regnum Caelorum kingdom so stuck up in their own beliefs that they refuse certain things that involve outsiders? That much was well known from negotiation from what Kieran had noticed but the way the other stood there awkward and maybe even a little sheepish the silver eyes elf prince could not help but find it almost endearing how shortcoming the other seemed to be. For how 'mighty' the kingdom claimed to be they had heavy faults. Not that he was to judge too harshly all things consider; just check out his family of all places. Crossing his arms lightly over his broad chest he studied the other as he considered the other's words. It did sound diplomatic but it could also be smoke blowing up his ass just to be polite. Giving a soft hum he quirked a sharp black brow as he spoke thoughtfully "You act all high and mighty Regnum Heir but the truth is you really don't know what's going on beyond the walls do you?" he asked quietly. |

He didn't allow himself to seethe with an inner wrath again, keeping a level head at Prince Kieran's words. "There's a gap between our domains and I'd like to create a bridge, in whatever way that may be. My people don't require outside influences, but having a rich knowledge and understanding of varying cultures would be beneficial for both parties." He seemed rehearsed, as if he'd been waiting for a good time and place to finally say them. He had practiced various different speeches about various different topics. Being young meant he had potential and he wasn't going to waste any of it. He'd never catch up to his father if he didn't put his effort into everything. Of course the Almighty Solar, centre of Regnum Caelorum and the personification of the sun had plans for Ori. The young man didn't know what they were nor would he ever be asked about his opinion on them. Solar was planning out Ori's whole future for him behind the scenes. |

"You are correct. The knowledge of our two kingdoms lacks the proper understanding of each other are needing to make any sort of treaty or partnership work. That unfortunately is something neither of our kings seems to understand or wish to lighten up on. The problem is they are stuck in their old ways from the well-trained and well-taught history of the past. They cannot see the potential the future for both of our kingdoms possesses." he splayed his hands out lightly as if to say 'what can we do?' before his pale gaze turned from the golden heir to glance over his shoulder at the empty hallway that only the guards stayed vigilant in. A frown tugged at the corner of his lips and his brows furrowed making his usually calm features look a little bit more stormy as he added. "But this is not the time to speak of it. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to speak for my kingdom; that is my father and brother's position and both are too hot-headed that neither will listen to my reasoning. I can only hope you have some sort of trick up your sleeve to convince King Solar of your ideals but since neither of us are in a position to speak freely in the debate room I doubt there can be much done." he pushed off the door frame to straighten himself and his cold mask was back on and his hands clasped behind his back as he stood to his full height and looked down at him. "Whatever may happen; I hope you have the strength to do the right thing. That is all we can do at this point in our positions." he sighed lightly before tipping his head towards him in formal farwell before he was turning to leave the room. |

Determine sparked in his heart. Even if his father looked after the land with a blinding radiance, he could still be an envoy for his homeland. Was working together better than taking claim of more territories? Ori wasn't sure. Kesal had its own determination to not let Solar have control, which he didn't understand. If his father wanted it, he usually got it. He kept quiet as the other prince went to leave again. He had questions in his head but some kind of instinct would swat them away before he had the chance to think any more on them. He needed to return to his father's side soon, or else he assumed he'd worry. |

"They will not get that road. It has been in our generation for centuries." Kieran blinked at his father's words which were spoken quietly but sounded so loud in the otherwise silent room. "And he will not allow us to take it; it is too close to their territory. You'd be literally walking to the edge of the lion's den and not expecting to get attacked." Rhys was read in his reply. Kieran stared at the pair silently listening. If he spoke up now would his words be heeded? He had meant it when he had told Ori that nothing would ever get better between their realms unless they worked together; the land was big enough for them even with the growing nation of each kingdom but he feared no one would listen to them. "If I may father. I have ideas that we can-" Kieran began taking a step towards him but the elven king's sharp stare lifting to his stopped him like an ice pick stabbing him to the floor. "This does not concern you, Kieran. Hold your tongue." The second son swallows and looks to Rhys but his brother doesn't even look his way the clench of his jaw tells tall tales of the restraint he was holding in to not speak out against their father. "It will concern me if you choose to pick yet another battle with the Regnum Caelorum! I have been at the front of every battle fighting for your cause for years. I have led men; good men to their deaths over old grudges that do not apply for any of us but yourself!" Kieran's voice rose a little as he forced a step forward. "We came here to try to find common ground and you are refusing to listen to anyone but yourself; what was the whole point of coming here in the first place then?!" he demanded but the fire dimmed when his father's tall frame rose like lightening to his feet and fluttering robes were the only sound that was made before the elvin king's face was inches from his son's. "Speak to me again in that tone boy and I will have your tongue ripped from your mouth so you dare no speak again. You do as you are told!" the words were not shouted but they were very loud and clearly spoken. Kieran's throat tightened and for the briefest of moments he wanted to look away but he had been taught not to so he stared his father back before regaining his composure. Tipping his head to him he backed from the room and fled down the hall to get some fresh air. |

"..Like a garden, stopping it from becoming a weed." Hushy's quiet voice was speaking to Solar only, but the rest of those in attendance were listening with due respect. Ori didn't know what the topic was, but it seemed to cease upon his late arrival. The tension settled in with each glance and stare that he received. The doors shit behind him and the sound echoed throughout the room. Sitting on an old antique sofa with his leg crossed over the other came a voice that barely put the room at ease. "Ori, have you been exploring the tombs?" Solar asked his son with an amused glint in his bright gold eyes. He'd treat Ori the most casually, even if he was more like an apprentice than a son. "No father, however I spied an exquisite memorial upon one of the walls earlier." He responded, stepping around the room to his father. "What is the reason for our war?" He had to ask, the meaning behind it all was slowly slipping from his mind since speaking with the royal from their enemy kingdom. The other beings in the room went about their business and own discussions, as to not disturb the king and prince. "In order for Regnum Caelorum and its people to continue flourishing, we must expand to accommodate. Every body must have shelter, food, the comforts of home and a joyous life. You know this." Solar explained to his son, words that he'd spoken time and time again. Ori slowly nodded in understanding. 'It's all for our home and people.' "When the meeting continues, I have a suggestion for the king of Kesal. Be joyous, for I believe it shall solve some difficulties." Reaching upwards to pat his son on the head, he smiled with a confidence that didn't leave any doubts in Ori's mind. He didn't know what his father was plannings. "Okay father, I'll continue my exploration in the meantime." He smiled back. They didn't share the same smile, Ori's was one of wonder and purity while Solar's could burn ones heart. The youngest court member happily walked off with a small spring in his step, guards opening the doors again for him and closing them once he'd left the room. |

He did not understand the need his father had that caused his bloodlust for the other's doom. It was so long ago did his father even know the full and true story behind the beginning of the fraud or had the story been changed throughout time. Could the battles he'd fought in and led; watching men die left and right be for absolutely nothing? Rubbing at his temples he let his body slump on the edge of the fountain and he tried to take deep breaths in. He either fought for his people's lives and die at the hands of his father or die on the battlefield fighting a war that no longer was needed for anything! Either way, he figured the end of the story would end up with his death; his loyalty to his family and his brother at least was strong and he would do anything for him but so was his loyalty and love for his people. A king was nothing without his people and a people as a nation could not stay thriving without the laws of a king but where did the lines cross and blur that gave anyone the right to play with lives? Blinking he raised his hands when he heard footsteps and watched warily through bangs and strands of hair that fell into his eyes dripping with water droplets. He raised himself to his feet and tried to take a calming breath; combing back his fingers through his hair he straightened up to look a little more presentable. What a sight he might make to anyone who might pass by. He would need to go grab a change of clothes to change into; his own wet from the water |

He'd read history books and fictional stories about wars and battles. It was said to really mess with a mortal's mental state and could permanently damage their physical state. Being worshipped like a god, he wasn't sure he could suffer the same. And without knowing he was right, he wasn't quite mortal or immortal. His internals were possibly constructed of alchemy or a forbidden magic, only Solar would truly know. He'd taken part in the creation of his own son. Light brightened the hallway Ori walked through, until he was no longer in a hallway but a courtyard. He paced around the outer area, not just at the sight at the elf prince again. Talking with the other was difficult, neither of their opinions mattered. |
