"Kieren we are coming up to the front doors can you not look like you tasted something foul, little brother?" His blue eyes glanced sideways at the face peeking from the half-curtained window of the carriage his father and eldest brother sat in. Rhys's face looked a little pinched as if he did not want to be in the carriage with the stifling of his father's company who looked just as cold and stiff as usual. "Rest easy I will not cause trouble, dear brother," Kieran murmured back and returned his gaze towards the staircase that held a few imposing figures in front. Ah, from the colors he could just make out the officials and the King of the Regnum Caelorum standing there impatiently. He himself schooled his features back on impassive but his grip on his horse's reins tightened with an almost silent squeak as the leather of his gloves tightened on the reins. The king brought more than just soldiers today. He prayed there would not be another near war here, but with the two kings whose nations have been at war since centuries before his birth he doubted a little fire would not start today. The raven was thankful though for his youngest brother staying back home in Kesal. Rhys came to be shown the ropes of negotiation and to be involved in the debate as he would one day rule Kesal and have to deal with Regnum firsthand. Kieran was forced to come as a personal guard for his brother and thus rode his trusty steed alongside the other soldiers trailing and bracketing the carriage the other royals traveled in. Kieran was thankful enough to be seen as nothing but a soldier if only to escape the dealings of the royal travesty so when the carriage finally pulled up and his father and brother; tall and imposing much like royalty they were stepped out Kieran stayed folded into his saddle alongside the other protection of soldiers. Pale orbs idly scanning the surroundings while keeping ears open for what was being said. |

That's what the young heir had read and learned in the vast texts of the the Regnum Caelorum library. It was open to any of the citizens, but the court had a private room as not to be distracted by the people who got the honour of laying their eyes on any of the divine beings. Ori had spent a lot of his time there, absorbing as much knowledge as he possibly could. Especially after the news about a meeting of two kingdoms on neutral land. The location of Skuaburg had been a place that he could only have dreamed of visiting one day. The wealth of knowledge that could be there renewed a hunger in every inch of Ori's partly burned body. His father even acknowledged his enthusiasm and would allow him to accompany him there, along with other more official court members and guardians. "They approach." The voice of Hushy, a mysterious but trusted court member, told Ori's father. The members present were himself, Solar and Hushy of course. Along with a few guards, court member Vulcan and mage and Hushy's former apprentice Sage. The rest and majority of the court had been left behind back in the safety of their land. There were a lot of them, but not all of them were capable of ruling. Ori could only try to watch from behind a guard as the royals from Kesal stepped out from their carriage and were greeted by Solar. Both rulers had such a overwhelming presence together, commending respect and power. His eyes, a paler and less intense gold than his father's, looked to the soldiers from the other kingdom. |

He was thankful that Rhys was here though; as someone who did not have the blood and death of decades on his shoulders like their father had the First Prince had a clearer mind and goal for this meeting. He was a little bolder and more polite to speak over his father in meetings from what Kieran had seen briefly so perhaps this time would be a little different in hopes to cleanse the land of centuries of bad blood. As the royals began heading up the steps to go inside Rhys stepped back briefly to rest a hand on his brother's foot subtly and spoke in a low tone; a look of concern in his eyes that mirrored Kieran's own pale crystals. "Stay close, be ready for anything and on the Goddess's sake do not do anything stupid." he said before he was rushing to catch up with long strides to meet his father in a flurry of silver and black robes. "I never get into trouble," Kieran muttered under his breath. Rhys always feared his younger brother would cause some sort of chaos whenever he is not around but the truth was Kieran was the one who kept Rhys's surprisingly daring side out of a bee's hive far too often. "Let's go, get the horses untacked and settled. It'll be a few hours before we are needed on the road again men." Kieran's smooth voice raised a few octaves to be able to be heard by the group with him and he turned his horse around towards the stables. As he lead his horse towards the side building where the equines and other animals were kept his pale gaze caught sight of the soldiers of Regnum and his gaze lingered a moment from beneath his black hood before his gaze as he caught sight of a smaller figure seemingly hiding behind the soldiers and a frown scrunched his dark brow a little wondering if a servant had been left behind or something. But just as quickly he turned his gaze away and continued to the stables to untack his horse. |

They didn't attempt to conquer more land unless the court deemed it necessary for their people to flourish. Solar had ordered it a few times before and succeeded. Kesal was a kingdom he considered worthy of his acknowledgment, or else he would've have accepted to even been in the presence of their king. Solar knew many languages other than his realm's own and yet he didn't use them to their full potential. Ori's gaze met with another's, for a brief moment. The stranger had mad an expression at him, too curious to return it. "Sunling, stay close." Hushy instructed the youngster, bringing his attention towards the taller figures moving inside. As taught, he should only give his attention to those who were worthy of his time. He quickly moved so he would not get left behind. This place wasn't somewhat he'd ever been before and it would be easy to get lost. "If you cannot keep up, I'll have Sage escort you." Hushy continued on as they walked, his voice was slow and soft, like ge held all the wisdom in the world. Ori wasn't expected to stay while the meeting was ongoing but he had to be careful while away from his father's side. |

After making sure horses and soldiers were both settled in and instructions given Kieran turned his back in favor of going inside Skuaburge. He was not needed within the meeting itself but he needed to be aware of the go on within regardless. Funny how he sort of took on the role as the general in his own father's army without having the title. At least he had that going on for him . His footsteps were soft and measured as one who was cautious of his own movement as he walked the halls seeing not only guards from his own kingdom but those of Regnum's and the mages of the Skuaburge Stronghold. His cloak was gone revealing the wear of Kesal's royal dress. It was more distinct than a royal guard's but often mistaken for one if not observed close enough. He often got mistaken as a guard or a personal servant of the royal family when going places because he did not go all out on the attire as his older brother and father did. He did not like the attention but oh how he did enjoy the look of stunned shock upon those faces when he stepped into a royal court and was addressed as Royal Second Prince Kieran Heimoira. As he walked down an almost empty hallway a small little book held open with one black-gloved hand while the other was tucked neatly into his pocket and did not see where he went until a flash of color crossed his vision and a figure bumped into him. His sharp eyes lifted from his book and he blinked down a moment realizing he had grabbed the other's arm to steady the man. "My apologies. I had not seen you. Are you alright? You are not hurt?" he spoke up with a faint smile that spoke of politeness as he let go of the man. A brief appraisal told him this was the little figure he'd caught sight of before on his way to the stables. Kieran looked back up away from the other's golden gaze to see if the others that were with him earlier still clung to his side. He certainly did not wish for a fight to break out over a simple mistake as running into the opposing kingdom. |

Sage was considered a recent addition to the court and the land of Regnum Caelorum. Not much was ever explained where court members came from, but from what Ori gathered he assumed that Sage had been from the Skuaburge stronghold. Life must've been easier yet Ori didn't dare to admit thinking such a thing about his birthplace. A wall memorial caught the light haired being's attention, lagging behind the group until their voices were just quiet echoed bouncing off the walls. His soft golden eyes scanned and examined as much as he could, not yet realising how much his pace had slowed. In his unfocused movements something bigger had knocked into him. He gasped in surprised, cut short once he processed that he was safe fumbled over in such an embarrassing manner. That didn't stop from feeling ruffled up by the accident. Ori retracted the arm that'd been grabbed, as if the stranger were an animal that had just snapped its filthy jaws at him. He raked his mind for the appropriate response. "I am a divine being, never dare to touch me." He replied, ditching his native tongue in order to be understandable. His expression was attempting to remain calm despite the lingering fright. |

His pale eyes looked down at the other with a slight distaste at the other's words and mannerisms and his polite smile grew a little tighter as he held back his sharp retort and instead his head tipped down towards him in polite respect; no different than a royal official at a ball. He spoke, his voice high enough for others around to hear as he spoke "I am sorry if I behaved in a way that made you think I should apologize. I only did so out of politeness; it seemed both of us were not paying attention to our surroundings sir." he did not throw his status in his face. for all Kieran knew Ori didn't know the tall elf was of royalty and even if he had said elf was never one to throw such a thing in another's face whether royalty or not. It was just rude, but even so, he could not help the second statement slip low enough that only the pair could hear in a tone that was a little icier as his gaze hardened ever so slightly as they stared down into the other's golden ones. "I swear, people like you are the reason we were born with middle fingers," he commented snarkily. "No one is god and there is no such thing as divine beings that aren't gods and god you are most certainly not." he straightened himself up and walked past the other to stand in front of the very wall design he had been looking at moments before the pair collided to gaze at it as if he was now ignoring the other but in fact, he was well aware of everyone in the room. Tilting his head at one particular part of the wall and frowned mumbling something to himself before grabbing his book and turning away from the others until a rush of footsteps came up behind him. "Prince! Prince Kieran. Forgive me for interrupting." a servant bowed past Ori. "Your brother wishes your presence in the debate room," he said breathlessly. The tall elf turned and studied the other a moment before his jaw clenched a little bit and he seemed to need the moment to regain his composure a little bit. If Rhys needed him that meant things needed calming down. "Always...just..." he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I swear it's never enough," he grumbled; his facade of regalness melting as he finally turned and walked past the servent. Pausing next to Ori he shot him a wary glance that spoke of volumes of tiredness behind his gaze before he was walking with long strides back the way they had come towards the courtroom where the other royals would be in do bought yelling at each other. |

At the stranger's words, a spark of fury lit inside him. He hadn't felt much anger before in his life, not like the one he was experiencing now. His people called him a god, so what would this man know? Ori wouldn't doubt who or what he was, the teachings already solidified in his mind. His burnt and bandaged tail lashed behind him with a fresh distaste for the individual near him. Socialisation skills were not exactly something that could be taught, personal experience was needed. Interacting with those from his homeland didn't offer the same opportunities as being face to face with an outsider. He even struggled with conflict of the simplest kind, rude words. What was he supposed to do? He dearly wanted to act like an animal and jump on the other, shake him until he got dizzy. Ori didn't know how to be the same violent as war was. The servant didn't distract him from his anger, only sparking the next best idea in his mind. He'd ask his father what to, figuring he was the one to go to for such things. Solar's will was unbending, his way or no way. Asking him was not the next best thing to do. With a swish of his robe, he turned to follow after the now identified second prince. They were both considered heirs, Ori couldn't be kept out of meetings all his life too. Solar hopefully wouldn't excuse him from the discussions this time, the youngster wasn't even there to eavesdrop now that he had an issue to address with his ruling father. |

He focused back on his side and tipped his head respectfully to his father whose cold blue eyes stared at him with fury despite the stoic face reflecting his own. Kieran wasn't stupid. He knew his father was enraged by whatever was going on. The silence in the room was so heavy that his soft footfalls as he walked along the Kesal table side to stand behind his father and brother sounded like gunshots in the large open space that echoed. His pale gaze briefly glanced at Ori across the table directly in front of him before he bent down so that his head was leveled with his brother's voice low so that only his father and brother could hear; speaking in his native tongue. "It seems my efforts are needed to calm down the dispute. What is the problem now?" his voice was respectful of course as the pair talked in heated elvish about what was going on giving the other side time to talk among themselves as well. He did not like what he was hearing. But unlike his brother and father, he was the one with better logic and smarts. Not only in battle as he out of his brothers had more experience but also because he had been dousing the fire for such a long time now to stop any more wars during meet-ups that it was like a second language to him. Straightening up again he cleared his throat loudly to gain the other's attention. Eyes of not only Regnum but those of the academy stronghold too as he forced a plaintive smile on his lips. "Gentleman, your royal excellence and those who came with his majesty," he spoke up gaining their attention. "There is no need for such hostility as it is safe grounds for all to be here is it not?" he held his hands out with a warm smile before continuing. "There never has been in history any sort of resolution to come to terms between kingdoms and nations under hostility and rage; people say things and threaten each other in heat of the moment. May I suggest an hour's rest so that both parties may calm themselves and regain composure? I am certain that both parties have had long travels here and are tired. It is best to conduct such business with a cool head and rest. We can continue this after we all have had a moment to step back; please, if you would meal will be brought to you in your assigned wing's dining hall." he tilted his head glancing at the head of the stronghold who had been standing by the table watching and giving a nod to the prince in agreement and stepping forward beginning to command some servants to take the guests to their assigned wings of the estate. As the Kesal officials were being led towards the door Rhys sidled up to his brother as they passed the Regnum officials towards the door. "You are such a kiss ass sometimes!" the eldest grinned making Kieran sigh and glare at his brother. "Only when you can't handle your job," he replied sarcastically. "How on Goddess's name will you ever handle being king if you cannot handle debates?" he blinked at his brother's offended look who grumbled a little and rushed to meet his father's strides leaving Kieran at the back of the group as everyone slipped through the doors leaving him at the back of the group. |

There was obviously tension heavy in the air. Solar's golden eyes stared across the table to the other side, the side that he barely respected as beings before they fought off his forces. He valued those who adored him and nothing else, the rest were lives not worth his presence. If he hadn't been face to face with another formidable ruler, his overwhelming gaze could be torture. "Father.. I have a query." Ori began softly and wary of his own parent's intensity. Now obviously wasn't the time. None of them could hear what the Kesal royals were saying, but Solar was silent as if listening in on them. Ori wasn't involved in anything of importance and paying him mind wasn't always necessary. He didn't consider himself important enough to press on with any topics either. With the second prince's words, the court members didn't state their opinions and only looked to their king. He didn't disagree, as he'd done many times before for other matters. Regnum Caelorum's officials followed suit, eager to discuss things in private. Ori was left to lag behind the group once again. He looked to see who was near him, only to be put back into a bitter mood. Prince Kieran, would it be worth remembering or would be soon perish by the hand of his kingdom's soldiers? Ori brushed thoughts about the other aside, remembering what he was taught. |
