Ashley gave her a small smile in the mirror, "I don't know where I am going but...There are rumors, of a civilization of unnaturals. They managed to get to an area of the country where the government can't control it, but it is so hard to make it there..."

Her ears perked up.
"And how did you hear about this, officer apathy?" She asked, seeming almost sarcastic.
"You know what, I don't wanna know. If there's a place for unnaturals, then that's where we'll go. We'll just drive until morning, and then we can start doing some research on this 'Safe haven'. Just wake me up when it's my turn to drive, alright?" She leaned back in the seat, already half asleep.

"I am not gonna wake you up for a while." Ashley muttered as she continued to drive.
Jaxx was laying in the floor and Ashley went silent.

And honey, I know that exact feeling. It's pretty weird to describe lol XD ))

She wasn't sure how long she'd slept for, but when she woke up, the sun was well above the horizon.
"Ashley! Why didn't you wake me up! You weren't supposed to drive all night!" She demanded, inspecting the dark rings under her eyes.

"I'm not tired, I'm fine." Ashley told her as she kept driving. She did have dark rings under her eyes but she didn't say a word about them. Ash did however yawn after a moment before she sighed.

She frowned and stretched, her back popping when she did.
"Pull over. I'm driving." She ordered, investigating the scene around them. The town they were in before had been a high-tech supersociety, like most places these days, but wherever they were now looked old. There was grass all around them, and not a building to be seen for miles around.
"W-Wait. Are we on the underside?!" She asked, sounding as concerned as she did shocked.

The underside* : Society gave up on trying to fix the world back in the 40's, and began to simply build on top of the old world. There are still roads leading to the underside, but almost no one goes there since it's so cluttered and abandoned. The underside is also one of the only places in the country that still has grass and trees. Most oxygen 'upstairs' is produced by CO2 filters. ))

Ashley gave a nod, "We are...we are hours away from the city." She said with a sigh. " I am going to continue driving because I know the whereabouts of where we are supposed to go....besides, if we get close to that base, you can't be driving."

"Wait, base.?" She became defensive immediately. "Ashley, where are we going?!" She backed up a little in her seat, suddenly becoming hostile.

Ashley barely had her eyes open but she blinked for a moment. " There is a base out here..I don't know where but if we get close to it or if a transport comes by and you are in the driver seat they will kill us. I-I can't do that. I just need to push through..." She muttered.

"But I thought no one inhabited the underside anymore.?" She turned to check on Oliver, who was still asleep.
"Ash, you need sleep. I don't look like an unnatural. They'd have no way of knowing that Oliver's a red fury either, so we'd be fine." She paused. "Besides, if you crash the car, then what good was any of this?" She joked a bit, trying to lift the mood.
