Karlie knew damn well that going after him was a bad idea, but he wasn't at all okay with the idea of James being alone in public while having a panic attack. Not only that, but these just so happened to be the classes Karlie would normally pick James up from to keep the douchebags away from him.
He gritted his teeth and stood up, walking over to the door and hovering there for a moment. He knew that if he was out there, James wouldn't come back inside, so he just sat down beside the door and rested his head on his knees, not even noticing the tears escaping from his eyes.
You did this. He's hurt because of you again. You only make things worse. Just leave him alone; He'll be better off without you. Just go back to Korea. No one here would miss you. Why are you even still here? You're never going to be able to fix this. It's hopeless to try.            Just give up.

James knew it was horrible to run but he did. He just kept running and he took off out of the school. His whole body was shaking as he felt the panic attack consume him. He had tears rolling down his face and he just kept running and running, not knowing where he was going or how far he was running but he didn't care. He ran for miles until his legs finally gave out and he collapsed down on the ground of an alley. He cried his hurt out, hearing his sobs echoing

Karlie woke up a few hours later, realising he must've fallen asleep while waiting for James to come back. He glanced around, knowing instantly that James hadn't come back yet. He checked the time before immediately grabbing his jacket and running outside, ignoring his headache. He had no idea where James would have gone, so he just got in the car and picked a direction. The sun was already starting to set, and if he didn't find him before nightfall, he was absolutely fucked.
After ten or so minutes, he ended up in a trashier area of town, but that didn't bother him one bit. He didn't hesitate to get out and start calling James' name, not knowing if he was even in the right place.

James had heard his name being called, but he didn't care. He felt as though he was just hearing things. He looked down at his wrists, seeing the bruising forming. He swallowed as he held his arms close to his chest. He was still shaking and his eyes were red. He heard people down in the alleyway but he didn't give a damn. He buried his head into his knees

Karlie could hear others down the alleyway, and immediately assumed the worst. He continued down the long hall, noticing a small figure crouched down on the ground. James. He saw a familiar bruise on their wrist and ran forwards, knowing for a fact now that this was James. "James! Jamie, please- Look at me. Just breath-" He was cut off by a tap on his shoulder. "Well look what we have here~ Didn't we meet at the bar a while back?" A man hovered above them, holding a cigarette in between two of his fingers. He was alone, but there were others down the hall, and Karlie didn't' want to alert them.
"No, I don't think we did. I don't drink." He shook his head, waving the man off. "Oh really now~? I don't like liars, Karlie." The man laughed a little, sounding irritated. "I'm a little busy here, jackass." Karlie growled, cupping James' face to try and grab his attention. "Breathe, James. Find five things that are blue, okay?" He pleaded, pulling his hand away in case James still didn't want to be touched. "Hey- I'm fucking talking to you!" The man snapped, throwing his cigarette down on the ground.

James curled further in on himself, "Fuck off.." He huffed looking away. He didn't give a damn who all was here and he pushed himself to stand up, his breathing was still bad and he wiped his face. He glanced over at the man and held his arms closer to his chest.."Just get your car...and leave.."he said to Karlie.

Karlie ignored the man behind him, who seemed so intent on being a dick. "James, I'm not leaving you here. Please, just get in the car." He pleaded, trying to sound as least threatening as possible. "I'll leave you alone, I swear. Just come home?" He muttered, holding his hands up in front of him as if to show he wasn't a threat.
"Oye, what the hell is goin' on here?" The man growled, suddenly seeming focused on James. "None of your business." Karlie snapped, not turning to face him. "Hey, I don't like the looks of this. He's got bruises, is refusing to talk to you, and clearly doesn't wanna go home with ya. Why don't you take a hint and back off? He ain't gonna sleep with ya, bud." He scoffed, looking James up and down. "Besides, you could always come home with me. I guarantee I'm better than whatever this guy has to offer~" The man smirked. "Back off, Kade." Karlie growled, using the man's name.

James stayed against the wall away from Karlie. "Just leave me alone." He repeated again, his hands still shaking. He  swallowed as he heard what Kade said. His face went a little pale and red. He shifted his weight, his eyes now on the man behind Karlie. "Just go away.. Both of you." James said after a moment, his breathing still fast but slower than before

Karlie clenched his fists, using every ounce of willpower in his body to keep from just grabbing James and leaving. "Or what, pretty boy?" Kade smirked, crossing his arms. "He clearly doesn't wanna go with you, so just stop trying. He's not even worth the trouble, dude. Just hand him over to me. I'll take him back to the club, have a little fun with him, maybe even have a drink or two-" Kade seemed to be laughing, but was abruptly cut off. "Are you fucking serious?! I'm not leaving him here, and I'm sure as hell not leaving him with you." Karlie snapped, glancing back for a moment to make sure that James wasn't anywhere Kade could try to grab him.

James swallowed as he listened to Kade. He glanced back down the alleyway as he still heard the voices. He moved quickly tot he and leave the alleyway to get away from Kade and Karlie. His hands were shaking and his breathing finally became normal, but his heart was beating painfully fast in his chest as he tried to bolt out the alleyway
