Laila stood and streaked through the hallways, knocking aside a few NPC's. She skidded to a stop in front of her father's office then changed into a human, dumping Kyra rather rudely on the floor.
Hayden meanwhile had mainly kept to himself and his own... Circle of 'friends' as you could call them. He wasn't close with particularly anybody, but regardless he knew the right crowd to hang with to get what he wanted. Scooping his backpack up he was about to head to his next class when he was hurriedly told he needed to meet at the headmaster's office. Frowning to himself, not believing he did anything to warrant getting into trouble, he headed that way. Only surprising him further when there was others he only VAGUELY recognized and knew the names of. Just what was going in here?
" Well, isn't this a party. " he practically purred out. Putting in his best and most charming smile. He recognized one of them as the headmaster's own daughter.. And he knew better than to get on the spoiled brats bad side. As much as he might loathe those who used their status to get away with whatever they pleased. Though just perhaps, that was his own self hatred deep down bubbling up. Disliking those too similar to you and what not.
Laila lay on her father's nice velvet couch in a rather wolf-like position, arms half out in front of her and legs bent back. Mr. Amarinth scowled at Hayden. "Anyway. Now that you're all here- wait a second Laila. Where's Mr. Calare?" He asks. "Calare? Oh, he'll be coming as soon as he wishes." Laila replies calmly.
Hayden's gaze darted between the group amassed here. One OVERLY relaxed daddy's little princess.. The father in question. A more troublesome looking lad with a penchant of misfortune that is rumored to follow his every move- well, he was mentioned to be coming anyways. There was also a girl he didn't recognize as much aside from name. She seemed to flitter in between everyone depending on the moods that suited her. Hayden stayed well clear of her previously. What a.. Rag tag group. He rocked back on his heels crossing his arms over his chest. " If this is about some sort incident that's going to earn me detention or worse, I'd like to have you know sir I am genuinely clueless as to why I've been called in here. "
" Cryptic as usual. " Hayden murmured, though his voice was lowered to a whisper he was certain only he probably heard. " Well then, since I'm seemingly the only one out of the loop, would someone please explain? " his gaze slowly passed from Cato who just walked in to the headmaster. Since it seemed he would be explaining this whole ordeal anyways.
Cato sat on the floor and watched Mr. Amarinth, letting him explain. "I called you all here because the magic is breaking." "Dad, the magic isn't breaking. It's just on the fritz a bit. It's nothing I couldn't-" "SHUT UP!" Mr. Amarinth snapped as his daughter. Laila winced but shut up.
Evander himself probably couldn't have picked the worst time to walk in. The raised voice enough to make the boy flinch from where he stood in the doorway. Fiddling with the sleeves of his shirt he nervously glanced around. Was anyone even expecting him to arrive? He had gotten the message to come- namely through his teacher but... It almost didn't seem like the others had expected another. " I- " he stammered trying to sort out his thoughts. " I can come back later if this is a bad time. Maybe I just got the time wrong. " yeah. Surely that was it.
