She paused for a moment, observing the girl. "You have a pretty good physical build, so I don't see why they failed you for both exams. . Is there anything else? A condition or disability?" She asked, not trying to sound rude.

"They said i wasnt mentality stable." She said with a sigh. She flicked her ears a little. Eva sighed as she messed with the shirt. "I dont honestly know whats wrong with me...but it must have been something they didnt think was normal...but its fine..i dont know whats wrong with me."

((Hmmm what mental condition should have had her be taken for experimenting?))

How about intermittent explosive disorder? It's mostly based off of anger issues, so I think it would work perfectly with Eva's personality! (Rebellious, fierce, snappy, dangerous, untrustworthy, unstable, etc)
Feel free to reject or alter! ))

"Well, the reasons are probably in your file." Kaia sighed, but quickly realised the girl didn't know what she was talking about. "Everyone was assigned a file that keeps track of their records. Even though you didn't receive aftershock treatment, I'd bet they still have your file. They keep all the staff files in a back room, but because no one knows about the genetics testing, yours are probably kept somewhere a little more secure." She shrugged, not realising she knew more about this than she'd originally thought.

Eva narrowed her eyes a little. "How do you know so much about this?" She said her tone coming out sharp. She shifted her weight, her ears pinning back. "How do I know I can trust you? What if your gonna just turn me in?" She said with a slight growl.

Kaia thought for a moment, but she didn't have any answers for Eva. "I- I don't know." She finally admitted, letting her head hang slightly. "You don't know if you can trust me, but I don't know if I can trust you either." She pointed out, sipping on her coffee. "You're a hybrid on the run and in hiding, and I for some reason still have access to certain memories. Neither of us will make it on our own, so we're both just gonna have to trust each other. I'll help you lay low until they stop looking for you, and you help me figure out what's gone wrong in my head, and how we know each other. Sound good?" She asked, not noticing how her usual friendly and lighthearted demeanor had shifted to a more intense and serious one.

Eva hesitated, she went silent for a while. After a few minutes she spoke again, "Your not scared of me? Not freaked out? You don't think..i'm a freak?" She asked. She had been shocked this person wasn't scared of her and thought she was a freak

Kaia hesitated, making sure to give it some thought before she answered. "Like I said before, I know you. Even if I were afraid of your features, something up here-" She tapped on the side of her head. "- won't let me be afraid of you." She chugged the rest of her coffee and put the mug in the sink.
"Come on, then. I've gotta explain a few things to you before I let ya loose." She prepared a small speech just to make things easier on the both of them. "The bathroom is connected to my bedroom, so just go in whenever you need. The shower works the same as it has for four hundred years. Food's in the fridge, take whatever you want. Don't mess with my work station. Clothes are in the closet, and again, we don't change in front of others. Extra hairbrushes and new tooth brushes are in the top right drawer, so take whatever you need." She paused for a moment, making sure she'd gotten through pretty much everything. "Do you need help with anything? You can always come and ask me if you need help figuring out how something works." She knew there had been dozens of changes over the past few years, so she wouldn't be surprised if this girl didn't acclimate well at first.
Why are you helping her? Just turn her in. That's what you should do.      You know her. You recognize her face. The memories are pre-reset, which means something must've gone wrong with your reboot. She continued arguing with herself for a moment, but realised she was getting nowhere with it.

Eva had been hesitant but she nodded. She remained on the floor for a while before she graduated to the couch. It didn't take long for her to curl up and she was out on the couch.
