You can't really tell if it's the first of its kind, there might as well been one and died by now, but you can tell how many there are at the current time by putting the traits in the wolf search.

Found a few wolves in the last couple days, they are / will be on TC.
In this cave.

12 to 48 hours for them to show up at the earliest, though I'm not sure how long they can stay in the pool for
