Katsura didn't bother trying to rein in or control the lights, knowing they wouldn't listen even if she tried. She'd never had great control over her powers, but she never minded it. Her grandmother taught her how to restrain her powers, but never how to use them properly. Because of the magic ban, and the woman's age, there was almost no way to teach her. She'd just been teaching herself for as long as she could remember. She was rather careless with her surroundings, and didn't notice that she wasn't alone. She approached a large patch of white tipped flowers; Snowdrops. These were her favorite, and they seemed to bloom in excess when she was around. Her grandmother told her it could be her magic, but she didn't buy it. She could hardly make a paper crane move, let alone cause a field to grow. She sat down in the patch, scanning it thoroughly to find the right ones for her collection. Her pale green dress draped naturally as she got down, seeming to fall right into place. The sleeve of her right arm consistently fell off, and she no longer felt pressured to keep it up. She was alone with her thoughts and nature, after all. |

Her dark blue clothes and black hair were a direct contrast to the other woman's, while sabran kept everything inside, she seemed to be full of light, literally and figuratively. Sabran took one step closer, the light framing her face against the dark shadows of the cloak, her green eyes almost neon in nature now and she stoop to pick a newly grown flower, smiling the whole time as she looked again, straight into the eyes of the other girl |

Katsura was completely caught off guard by the sudden presence of another, and nearly jumped when the two of them locked eyes. SHIT- I am SO dead! She panicked internally as her expression changed from contentment to fear. This woman certainly wasn't a witch, and judging by her appearance, she was a noble. Her status could range anywhere from a noblewoman to- to I don't know what! I've never met anyone of higher status before! She stood up quickly, growing more and more panicked by the second. She'd just been caught doing magic, and by someone of noble status, no less. She could be put to death for this, and she knew that. Hell, the imperial family could execute her just for existing. The strands seemed to reflect her emotions, and began to crumble and shatter into fragments. The shards of light quickly dissipated, but the ones that were still flowing from her continued to linger near her. They seemed to be an aura more so than anything. |

She smiled slightly " your... Powers are wonderful" she whispered, still holding on the the snowdrop in her left hand , a finger gently holding up an askew petal. Sabran looked like a cat, mesmerized by the lights, her eyes twinkling with joy |

It's fine if not lol- I just thought that was the plan? XD )) Katsura's heart nearly stopped altogether when the woman lowered her hood, realising exactly who this was. She was royally screwed. *Bad pun.* "I-I'm sorry- I w-won't do it again, I swear!" She stammered, keeping her hands down at her sides. Truth be told, she had no control over when her powers acted, but if the first-born child of the imperial family were to learn of this, they would execute her without hesitation. Defective witches were to be burned at the stake, along with any rebels against the magic ban. The more she tried to get the strands under control, the more they seemed to misbehave. Oh come on- Now is NOT the time! She screamed internally, genuinely afraid for her life. Worst case scenario, she could run. |

A strand of light almost touched sabran's hand and she quickly pulled it back, not wanting to touch the unfamiliar light, scared that something would happen to her. She had been told by her father that everyone with magic is dangerous but in the heat of the moment, she almost forgot. She looked at the floor and stepped forward " what are you doing so close to the royal gardens?" She gestured to the sandy path that separates them, the same path that goes from the town to the front gates of the palace |

Katsura wasn't sure how to answer at first, as she had been unaware of how close in proximity the two locations were. "I- I just came here to be alone, my lady. I didn't know." She muttered, keeping her gaze fixed sternly on the ground. There were tree things her grandmother had taught her to survive in the world as a witch; One, never show your powers. Two, always keep a low profile. And three, avoid imperial detection at all costs. Of course, she'd managed to break all of these in a matter of seconds. It seemed to be a talent of hers to disobey the law. She'd been told she got it from her father, but she wasn't so sure. She was starting to think it was just an unofficial curse. |

" If you leave now, I won't report you to the royal guards when I return" she said, looking down at her now from the back of her horse. The reins gathered in one hand as the wind blew her cloak and hair out in waves like the sea. Brb in an hour ish// |

Nvm- TIME TRAVELLLLLLL! )) Katsura was unsure of why this woman was offering to do such a thing, but she wasn't going to wait around and ask questions. She turned and bolted for the woods, running through the trees with ease. She seemed to be very agile, not letting her dress be caught on any of the stray branches. She'd been going here for so long that she could probably run the route with her eyes closed. In fact, she had. Unbeknownst to Katsura, the flowers that had been so vibrant before had begun to wilt at the tips. She made it inside, narrowly avoiding slamming the door behind her. She was sure she looked like shit, and her grandmother seemed to notice as she exited the kitchen with Lyell propped up on her hip. "How kind of you to finally show up! Did you at least have fu-" She hesitated, looking Katsura up and down with a concerned expression. "What happened?" "I-I went down to the meadow, but someone saw me. I think it was-" She was cut off by her grandmother, Hyria's stern tone. "You were seen doing magic?! And by a member of the imperial family, no less?! I can sense her on your aura, Katsura! You know how reckless it was to be doing magic out in the open!" "No one comes there! I thought it would be safe!" Katsura insisted, sounding stressed. "You thought wrong! If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, Katsura! You've just put our entire household at risk! Do you want to have to move again?!" Hyria snapped, setting Lyell down, who quickly scampered away to the kitchen. "Of c-course not! She says she won't report me, alright?! I just- I don't know what to do, dammit!" "Watch your tongue! If you truly believe she won't report you, then you're even more dimwitted than your mother was for having you!" Hyria shouted, sounding pissed beyond belief. "No more stupid than you for raising me! If you really hate me so much, then just leave! NO ONE is stopping you!" Katsura retorted, turning and heading upstairs to her room. She shut the door and locked it, not caring that she'd get an earful for scolding an elder like that. Alr! )) |

She nodded solemnly and was marched into her father's chambers, she bowed gracefully" father" she looked up at him as she stood back up. Before flinching as he took a step towards her. " Where have you been, do you know how dangerous it is to be out on your own at this time of night!" He shouted, sabran cringed and looked at the floor" s-sorry" she whispered, slowly trying to slide towards the door. " I'll tell you when I next leave the palace Father" she waited to be dismissed before running down the hall to her chambers, sobbing |
