Whitepaw-apprentice-he/him-camp

After making sure little brown was okay he went to try doing some battle training.
After clawing a stump for a short while he remembered that he was supposed to be helping snowwhisper and raced over to help more

Crowheart - Warrior - he/him - Location: Forest

Crowheart himself was occasionally stopping to scent the air. If he came upon a particularly slippery area, he would mutter a warning to the rest of the patrol and slow down. After a while of walking, he stopped. "We should turn away from the lake. See what there is deeper inside the forest," he stated. He had been staying close to the lake's shore. "Shore seems safe from predators so far."

He marked a tree with his scent and turned to the rest of the patrol. "We'd be at greater risk of getting lost, however, as we go deeper into the forest" he warned. It was true - all the trees looked the same, at least to Crowheart. He glanced at Amberblaze. "You look confident. Why don't you lead?"

Amberblaze - Warrior - She/they - Location: Camp

"It's not my turn," Amberblaze replied calmly. "However, I don't think we should venture too deep. I don't wanna risk getting lost or being too far from camp to help should someone yowl for us." She tilted her head in Stormclaw's direction, "He's next."

She padded around him, nudging him forward with her nose. "Ready when you are Stormclaw." They tried to keep a confident tone as they looked on. Stormclaw wasn't from ThunderClan either, so they silently wondered if he would also back down from leading. As much as they'd all shared the forest, ShadowClan didn't have as much wood as those from ThunderClan, so it was understandable if they'd want her to lead.

Newpaw-Apprentice-She/her-Location: Camp

Newpaw did her best to listen and then she watched as Snowwhisper began to tie the moss together. She was careful to try and copy what he was doing so that she could be helpful. The little apprentice had trouble at first and she growled softly under her breath, feeling frustrated. She took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before trying again, and soon she was doing just fine tying the moss together. "Sparrowsong and Mosskit will sleep warm tonight." Newpaw purred happily. She may not have been a kit anymore, but she still cared about the queen and her kit. Suddenly she realized that she wouldn't be sleeping in the nursery anymore and that night she would be in the apprentice den with Whitepaw. I hope Whitepaw doesn't snore... Newpaw thought ruefully.

Stormclaw-Warrior-He/him-Location: Outside of Camp/Forest

Stormclaw had been following the rest of the patrol quietly, lost in thought. He paused when they did and listened to the conversation with vague interest. He felt Amberblaze nudge him with their muzzle, and he thought for a moment. Stormclaw could be a little clumsy sometimes without meaning to be, but he was sure that he could lead their patrol just fine. He had lead patrols before with little to no issue. And plus, he didn't want to seem weak or appear useless, he wanted to prove that he was just as capable as the others. He knew that some of the former Shadowclan cats looked down on him for his kittpet roots despite the fact he could barely remember those days, having been taken in as a kit. Plus, he didn't know how the former Thunderclan cats would view him, if they even knew of his background. He tried not to talk about it if he could help it. He gave a small flick of his ear, he really needed to stop referring to his clanmates as 'former' Shadowclan and Thunderclan, they were one clan now. The silver warrior gave a small nod. "Okay, let's get going then. We won't go too far." He meowed.

Applestar - Leader - He/him - Location: Camp

He wasn't good with kits- not at all, not since what happened to Beepurr and (supposedly) his litter. He had never meant to have kits. He probably would've accepted them regardless, even if they clearly did not resemble him physically. But he absolutely would've sucked after fatherhood. The ginger tom awkwardly raised a paw after he queried Sparrowsong while her son nibbled at his long legs, uncertain of what to do in the situation. He didn't want to step on the little thing. "Erm, good mor-" No, that had to be too formal for kits, right? What was he supposed to say? "I...uh...what's...up? Little dude?" Nailed it.

Their second medicine cat approached next, his voice as smooth as silk. His scent reminded Applestar of his time as deputy, when he had to spend all that time recovering in the colorfully scented den. He'd spent many long afternoons chatting with Goldbreeze, questioning the medicine cat's choices in herbs and asking for their names. While he'd been in excruciating pain, the memories had been...joyful, nonetheless. It was a shame Goldbreeze stepped down- he never asked her why. She was a very talented medicine cat. Maybe she lost the excitement she once held in healing others? Maybe the burden of so many deaths had weighed too heavy on her shoulders.

While Applestar was consumed with his own sporadic thoughts once again, Whitepaw had approached with an unnamed kitten, and Featherspire took to tending to it. Things seemed to be moving by so fast. It was important that they reunited the lost kitten with its mother, but...erm, for now...he'd let their medicine cats deal with the kitten. Sparrowsong as well- Applestar didn't exactly have that...parental touch. He was much too awkward around kits. He didn't know how to talk around them.

Right, right, the nursery seemed fine according to Sparrowsong. He wanted to check it out himself to ensure that everything was properly put together.

Morning' Skies - Deputy - She/Her - Location: Camp

Morning' Skies looked around camp and sat down unsure whether to ask if anyone wanted to go on a patrol or not. she messed her paws then picked up a branch and threw it towards a big rock and a small rock. The branch landed towards the bigger rock. "Well that decides that." She whispered to herself. "Anyone want to go on a patrol?" She called out towards the other cats in camp hoping they heard her.

( please Ignore, i cant figure out how to delete things)

Fadedpaw - MCA - she/they - Location: Medicine Den

She nodded a long, listening intently. Her eyes wide, it was something she didn't know. Cats didn't talk about it, at least not to her. When Fernshade finished speaking, Fadedpaw spoke up. "I was born... different too. I wasn't a tom, but I wasn't a she-cat either. I guess I gravitated more to being called a she-cat rather than a tom." She stayed quiet for a moment, remembering how the medicine cat at the time wasn't sure what to call her, until Fadedkit decided he and tom made her uncomfortable when used to talk about her. Her mother, Fallenspirit, was surprised too, having never met another like like her.

She spoke in a hushed tone, like she almost didn't want Fernshade to hear. Or maybe she did. "Maybe being born the way I was made my father not like me."

Snowwhisper - Warrior - he/him - Location: Camp

Snowwhisper watched Newpaw as she tied together the moss. He saw her become frustrated, and give her short phrases of encouragement, watching as she soon was getting it on her own. They continued for a while until Newpaw spoke, and Snowwhisper hummed. "They will, with how warm the sun still is, at least one layer should be dry and ready to be tied to the top of the den before nightfall."

He took a look at Newpaw again, and thought to himself what a brave kit she was. She and her brother were raised alone by Skystripe, and the ginger and white apprentice had been so strong trekking the lands this past week or so. He knew even the past few moons had been hard on many cats alike, despite their ages, including himself.

He looked up to see Applestar interested in their progress, he gave him a nod, continuing to work on tying the reeds. If Applestar wanted to speak to them, he'd let the leader decide when that was. Despite the progress they were making, they'd have to focus on working. It'd be cruel to leave the queen and her kit in another night of damp and cold.

|| Sparrowsong - Queen - She/Her - Location: Camp ||

"Mosskit is my own kit Little Brown. He's part of this clan, you're quite right." Sparrowsong purred proudly, Little Brown already catching onto the new words. The kit seemed to be drying off, only a few damp patches remaining. And he was eating well, tearing at the food eagerly. Slowing his movements a little, Sparrowsong reached to pull some more away from the mouse, separating the meat so it was easier for him to eat. She needed to get another bit for Mosskit soon, her own stomach was empty and the smell of fresh food was just making her hungrier. But the kits came first.

"Will he need any herbs to clear up his cough? Or do you think that will pass easily?" She asked after a second, looking to the pair of medicine cats.

Morning' Skies - Deputy - Sher/Her - Location: Camp

Morning' Skies watched as the clouds drifted across the sky, she then noticed Snow' whisper and New' Paw tie moss together. 'I wonder if I should join'  She thought. She contemplated the idea for a bit, then decided to help. She had nothing better to do. She started to wander over, then decided to pick up dove while she headed over there. When she got to the den and stopped. "Can I help at all?" She asked, "Also I brought over a dove just incase anyone is hungry."

Fernshade — She/Any — Camp

"you're like Featherspire in that way. Born both, decided to choose the path you preferred. 'Feather never really chose to be named a she-cat or tom, and that's fine. I guess i diverged off my 'path' too. But i'm happier now." She let out a minor whimper of sympathy as Fadedpaw spoke of their father, and she reassuringly rested her head on top of the apprentices.

"Well, your father was wrong. You couldn't choose what you were kitted as,  but you can change it now. so he's just going to have to get over that. I wish you could've had my kin. They were so accepting… You should talk with them sometime. Brackenslash would treat you well."  She felt a hint of something close to kinship for the younger she-cat, like a sister. They both chose different paths from their start, and that's what made them similar.
