Quentin backs off of the spike, and nods his head before staring at the blood that wells from the wound. Instead of feeling panic, he approaches Gorisk and rubs his large dark-colored head on the other's leg. He purrs softly despite the pain and tears welling in his eyes.

Gorisk eyes Quentin and gently pets his head
"Come on, we should take a break, if I shift will you latch onto my back? I don't want you hurting yourself"
He spoke with his head tilted but will carry him if need be, he doesn't want Quentin to suffer more then necessary.

Quentin nods, and a single question is in his eyes. Should I shift? They seem to ask, and the cat creature gazes at Gorisk warmly.

Gorisk locked eyes with Quentin and started to shift
"Doesn't matter, just make sure to latch on"
He smiled then took some deep breaths as he allowed himself to shift fully then went on all fours.

Quentin turns into his human form quickly, and he then grabs onto his partner. He squeezes his eyes shut with a low groan of pain. He holds on a bit tighter that he thinks he should, but he murmurs soft words in Gorisk's ear.

Gorisk made a low purr as he started to slowly climb some trees and turned his head to head the words better, his ear flicked and rose as he did then he started to jump from tree to tree yet made sure to be carful as he did.

Gorisk heard the cry and searched for solid ground in which he gently crawled down the tree then landed, he stood up upon his hind legs then reached for Quentin so he could carry him the rest of the way.

He hates that his partner was injured, and took his time to gently the man the rest of the way.

Quentin lays his head on Gorisk's furry chest as tears well in his dark eyes at the pain. Feeling lightheaded, he refuses to move. "T-t... Thank you, love." He whispers before allowing his eyes to close with exhaustion.

Gorsk didn't need a thank you, he would've done this even if Quentin wouldn't allow him to do so, he hates to see him in pain. And if he of people has tears forming then it was enough to tell the brute that it was serious. He made sure to keep Quentin close to his being and lowered his head to gently kiss it, telling him he needn't worry.

The walk would make the journey back to Sprig's home longer then it truly was for most of the land seemed to tilt into the murky waters, yet once they had came Gorisk lightly kicked the door which sprung open.
