How often do your wolves get sick?

How often do your wolves get sick?

I've been really scared of the illness mechanic starting up after my 5th rollover, but now it's the third day (I think? if I started on the 19th?) of my wolves being able to get sick, and it hasn't happened at all yet!  How often does it happen for other people?  How about other newbies like me, have you had a sick wolf yet or not?

I started on the 19th as well, the only illness I've had so far is the one you get when you get the herbalist tutorial quest.

Same as HollowWorld here! My main got diarrhea after rolling in some scat while exploring (not sure if that had anything to do with him getting sick, but figured it's worth noting). Besides that everyone else has been nice and healthy!

I started during EA and it doesn't happen too often except for when I send my hunting party out or roll in poop while exploring. Sometimes my scouts will get a random illness but overall you don't really have much to worry about :)

I recruited a NBW that turned out to be sick, but otherwise my pack has been healthy.

Okay, good!  Somehow I thought it was really common so I was super worried and trying to get all the cures ready immediately and so on... Glad it's not so bad. XD

I don't think it's supper common. Been playing every day since the site opened to the public and I only had one case of an open wound.

All of the time. I get 3-4 new ones a day. These are either spontaneous on RO or from hunting/breeding/scouting there is pretty much no way for me to continuously collect enough herbs just for my average of 2 open wounds daily. I end up just constantly using healing salves so they can keep hunting. This is with isolating the sick ones. The number itself wouldn't be so bad, a lot of my problem has been the range of diseases and that several of the diseases require materials only found in the rainforest at the bottom of the map. I'm still scouting toward it. I've had ticks, mange, cough, influenza, pox, diarrhea, ear mites, infection, and open wounds which is about half of the diseases. You can trade in herbs at the herbalist but it is 3 to 1 so it can take a lot.

Just right now I have 4 coughs, 1 ticks, 1 influenza, and 3 wounds. I'm contemplating just leaving the ticks because it doesn't seem like they can have multiple diseases at once and I'm tired of getting some of the others. As soon as I cure them they get sick again in the next couple of days.

Huh, I wonder why different people have such different luck... I guess it's pretty heavily RNG, but even so.

Of course, I respond to this and then have two wolves get open wounds from hunting on the same day.
