Writting Example This is an example of when I have something to go off of, I can write anywhere from 300 - 1000 words Trapped. Trapped in a state of weakness. The dog’s body had forced itself to shut down. He wasn’t too old but old enough for wounds to take more of a toll on him. His efforts in trying to stay awake fell and made his condition worse. His head no longer moved so the wound had a chance to stop its bleeding. Without him aggravating it. His body had put him into a state of deep sleep in order to try and stay alive. That's all his body wanted, to survive. It held onto any little bit of life it could while resting. Working harder than it ever has to heal Fenic. On the other hand, his mental side of things let him dream, dream of past life and hopes for the future. It was cold, colder than it had ever been before. A shiver ran down his spine. It is the type of coldness that reaches into bones and the only thing to do is keep moving, keep heading toward home but where was home? There was no home, only corners of the street. Home was once the comforting hearts of brothers and sisters. However, those were already gone and the only warmth left was his own heart, beating quietly like the dulling of a fire. The sky was a rolling blanket of cloud the colour of wet ash; ground its dank reflection. Each step becomes a prayer for home as he walks, but the further he walks, the further away it was to reach. Darkness was usually welcomed, coming closer and closer until it wrapped its protective arms around those around it, like a mother standing over a pup to protect them from dangers. The danger that inched closer to a certain alaskan malamute was a creature like no other. They stood on two legs and held no fur on their skin, only long hair on the top of their head. Their hands were the dangerous and most frightening thing about them, unlike a wolf or dog. These creatures could use tools with ease and grab you. They plucked you away from families and wanted to destroy you. Others knew that if you were grabbed you were never seen again. Tonight, darkness seemed to have an essence of day about it. Normally, he would spend the night time getting food and finding different; warmer places to spend his night. Although a fear lurked inside the walls of his heart. Giving it a painful squeeze at every sound and movement. His body was tense and his mind on edge. Eyes constantly scanning his surroundings. Yet, silence clung to his tongue like frost to grass. The world was dangerous no matter the time of day. He just knew he was safer at night. Or so he thought. Fear was a constant, fear was many things, doing different things in different moments. Fear is shackles, fear can be a knife in the gut slowly twisted, fear can be a constant hammer on the head beating you down every time you get over it. Yet fear can also evaporate like water under an early summer sun. To over power fear is to beat life. For everyone has fear lurking in the depths of life itself, hiding behind the hidden corners to jump out at you in moments of happiness. Tonight, the fear was just that. It had found him once again and much like a leech it wouldn’t let go. Just as his body seemed to relax, a thin wire slipped around his neck and tightened. Eyes widened and heart quickened. The male was silent but struggled, his body lashed from side to side as he struggled against his biggest fear. One of those hairless two legged creatures had got him like they had his brothers and sisters. A long pole kept distance between them so he couldn’t attack the creature and get away. He had promised himself not to let this happen to him, he couldn’t allow it. The male thrashed more aggressively, trying to rip out of the hold he was on. A laugh echoed through his ears and his body was soon met with the freezing cold of metal. With this new feeling of cold, everything went black. |
