This is currently closed, but I may open it back up eventually so if you're interested, I recommend saving or subscribing and I'll notify when I'm available again :)) About Myself: My name is Jay, I am 19 years old, and I am from Australia. I use he/him and they/them pronouns. I have been roleplaying for years, but have only just been trying to get back into it this month after a good long break ( though not intentional - I didn't have anyone to RP with! ). I work 4 days a week BUT usually can reply at least 1-2 times a day. I am a slow writer, but I always have good grammar and spelling and try to aim between 500 and 2000 characters in my replies give or take. Strict Rules: There's not much, but it's good to get these out of the way. - I much prefer 18+, especially if romantic themes come into it. I will roleplay with 17 Y/O as my lowest if it's well established that no romantic themes are coming into it. - Must have good literacy. I will excuse if you have a disability or English is not your first language, but please capitalise the start of your sentences and use full stops at the least I beg. - No God-like characters, but also on the flip side, if you are to kill your character off or have them very vulnerable, please discuss beforehand! Preferences: - Good story building; I am perfectly happy if you spend an entire paragraph or two describing scenery, I adore that kind of writing, even if it's a tad 'too much' realistically. I wanna see the environment in my head, give me all the glorious details! I really like to have a direction of what the characters goals are / what they are currently doing / future obstacles ect ect as well. I like to establish a lot of world building and such beforehand as it saves the story later on from burning out. - OC x OC - I am horrendous at trying to roleplay canon characters, and don't like to do CC x OC. - I will only play male characters; I am happy with you playing any gender. I am more used to MxM romantically in roleplays but I will do whatever. -I want to be friends with the person behind the character! Tell me things about your day, what do you do for a living, tell me your interests, talk to me OOC! It helps make RP feel more smooth as well I've found. If you don't wish to do so that's fine too! What I am okay with: - Explicit themes; drugs, alcohol, violence ect. Anything that is commonly seen or discussed in RDR2 is fine. I am also okay with sexual themes, though rather prior discussion. - Roleplaying multiple characters at once. While I do prefer to only roleplay one main character, I am okay with NPCs. If we do a gang, I am happy for us to juggle other existing characters or designate characters for each other to 'control'. Entirely up to what we decide :)) - One liners are okay but I rather longer replies. I will match your paragraph lengths as much as I can, but I like details. One liners are perfectly fine for direct dialogue between characters. - I need a partner who is good at communicating if they will be less active, losing interest ect. I will check in if I see replies slipping, I do not want the replies to become more of a chore than enjoyable and I am happy to find work-arounds or use time-skips to get past it. Been there, it's much easier to just skip over it or find other ways to fix it. I don't have much I am not okay with BUT before jumping into a sensitive situation, it's good to discuss it beforehand! Writing preferences: I write in a novel-like fashion and would like that to be matched. Here is an example: He walked slowly, taking in the store's supplies stacked neatly on the shelves. It was only a small town store, with likely a very bored store clerk trying to find something to do with themselves between customers. To his left was a register, the entrance behind him, and a wall of various goods to his right. "Can I help you at all today sir?" A voice chirped from the register. A young woman, maybe in her early twenties was looking over. The man met her gaze. "Uhm.. nah it's alright, I am just browsing," he dismissed, returning back to the stacked cans of goods to his right, turning to pick up a can and have a look. The woman gave a quick 'no worries!' before going to dust the shelves behind her. He waited a bit before he took the opportunity, swiping a couple cans before swiftly making his way to the exit to his right. "Hey!" The voice yelled behind him, but he was already gone. I prefer to write with partners who write the same as the example above - third person, speech in apostrophes, it's not in the example but I also put a character's thoughts in italics. Interested? I don't post my Discord publicly, but if you are interested, you can PM or reply with this form and I will add you! I will only roleplay via Discord as it's easiest to keep organised, though suggestions for other websites or social media are okay. I won't roleplay via Wolvden as I am not active enough to do so. I typically build a Discord server for these, as then everything is organised and information is easily accessed. Form: Discord ID: Age: Gender/Pronouns: Are you okay with mature themes ( NSFW/Gore/Drugs ect )? And if no, specify: What do you want to do for OC relations, storybuilding ect ( if nothing, I am happy to brainstorm ): General plot ideas?: Roleplay example ( this can be in relation to mine, or an entirely separate idea, both are perfectly fine ): Tell me about yourself! The other thing I was wondering about was, I know you said you prefer Discord RPs. I prefer message boards because I'm old and that's what I'm used to, but I would be willing to try via a messenger, just preferably not Discord. Nothing against Discord, I like it well enough, but I use it to communicate and game with my irl friends/family, and prefer not to give it to people I don't know well (had some incidents a while back). It might not be as ideal for such a thing, but Telegram lets us create a group which is kinda similar to a Discord server, though it lacks channels. Is this acceptable to you, or is no Discord a no-go? Thanks for your time either way, and good luck getting an RP partner, even if I'm not the right fit! |

I am not worried about time it takes to reply as I generally only have about a 6 hour window each day at the end of my day ( some exceptions here or there, I can reply more often on my days off but it's still limited ) to reply, and I am a slow writer. I do appreciate more often replies but it's not all that important to me, I care more about the quality of the RP and interest of both parties than response times. Better to have a good quality RP with slow replies than a bad one with quick replies! I am flexible; I am not sure on message boards unless they are private ones, but I am willing to try messaging apps and have done so previously many times, my only preference for Discord is it can at the least provide the option that you can message each other without disrupting the flow of RP - the use of different channels mainly. However, I have some messaging apps before and I can do that again! No worries about the Discord thing, we can try Telegram or wherever else you'd think would work well. If Telegram does groups, then there's potential we could simply just either create two groups or something like that as a makeshift separate channel either for lore building or chatting outside OOC ect. We can give it a go! Just let me know what you'd want to try and we can see how we can approach it :)) |
