It's a surprise :D As I remember it can even be anonymous too. It simply writes that you have [number] of gifts until Christmas time

I'm having trouble figuring out how to gift people- I was starting with my friends list but I can't find the option on their pages for even users that it says are currently online.  I could only find the gift option for one profile but not any of the others I've looked at so far.
