"That's great Heather, yes I know the old bear. He's a friend of mine." Verdance smiled.

''Oh, okay,'' she said. ''I don't think it's the same bear though. This one has his and mine workshop combined. You might know one of the other bears tho; he told me there's more of them! But I'm going there right now, so if you want to come you are welcome to!'' Without waiting for an answer, she grabbed the herbs and said ''W Wotta Wewane wom werbs!''
''......I think she's going to exhange some herbs?'' Dahlia tried her best to translate. She shrugged. ''Oh well, it's your choice; I'm going to see the human village, taking Scouty with me, and she's going to see the bear. Where would you like to go?''

Verdance seemed thoughtful, "I think I'll go to the human village, I can't deny it can be a little saddening to see so many picked herbs that were once alive, I can't wait to spend more time you Heather." Verdance said, trying her best not to offend anybody.

Heather tilted her head. ''Oh... I didn't think of it that way... I'm sorry if I hurt you, I just... we need the herbs. For medicine. But hey, if you know any other way of getting or making medicine, I'd love to learn from you!'' Heather offered, wanting to help that saddening feeling. Because the heaviness of the situation had hit her... She'd literally surrounded Verdance in, for her, pretty much corpses. So she quickly took the herbs, ushered Sylvia and her sorting job into the cave and hopefully out sight so that she could also stay with the sick wolf, and then left.
Dahlia had listened, but only hesitated to say something, then deciding against it. Heather had already handled this amazingly, according to her. She was really starting to come to that age where she calmed down, but she still retained that sort of pup-like energy she had when she was a very young and new Herbalist, and Verdance met her for that one time. Dahlia hadn't been there, but Heather had told her about it -shameful when she reached the part of being posessed-.
''Well,'' she said, ''The Grasslands are... uh.... a very long trip from here. Few days, maybe even. So uh... are you sure you want to go? I don't mean to pry, but if you have your own pack... But I don't mean to pry. Just making sure you know it's a very long trip to be cooped up with us!'' She wagged her tail at that last joke, trying to lighten the mood.

"I leave my pack for extended periods of time, they function without me wonderfully, it isn't structured like most packs." Verdance smiled.

''Yeah, that makes sense,'' Dahlia said, looking around. ''I guess Matthew can take over, and the wolves know their daily duties, so maybe.... maybe we can make it in one day, but that means we only have a few minutes in the human village? I... I don't know. Scouty has not really scouted the surrounding area well, and well, it's a big woods... the Grasslands are smaller but it's still very big. I'll go get her ,and the supplies ready. Feel free to just... move around if you want. The den opening for you... well it means you are free to move around as you please, as long as you keep the peace. Again, feel free to grab the food too.''

With that, Dahlia moved around. She grabbed some meat chunks and small carcasses, some Healing Salves and Scouty grabbed some Large Leaves, bones, and other amusement stuff and toys that could come in handy with her travels. ....Lots of acorns. That sorta stuff.

When the both of them were ready, within the half hour, Dahlia nuzzled goodbye to her mate whilst Scouty, mate-less stood there patiently waiting. Then, she went back to wherever Verdance would've wandered of to to say she was ready and to check if she was ready too.

Verdance nodded pleasantly, following Dahlia with interest. Exploring human villages sounded like a wonderful if not a little dangerous idea.

The journey would be long, but with Scouty's help, they were able to get there in half a day. During that, Dahlia often made pauses and fed the wolves she was with. She wanted to take care of them. Scouty knew that Dahlia was just motherly, so didn't question it. The journey would for sure open up some interesting conversations if any wolves wanted that, though...

Verdance enjoyed the company of the two wolves, making conversation with them. She was glad to be surrounded by plants who talked to her, unlike the forest.

Dahlia made sure to take care of the wolves and was talking excitedly about the pack, when Scouty stopped, raised her tail and leveled her head. Dahlia immedaitely quieted down as the she-wolf went to the left, following her.
Hidden in the tall grass but with not much coverage, they could now see big puddles -it was more a marsh than a grasslands- and a single hut. Scouty became awfully quiet and stood there for a long time. Dahlia could tell there was soething she was holding back, especially when she announced that she would like to take only Verdance, and told her Lead to stay behind...
But she was the expert, so Dahlia agreed. She did question it, sure, but she agreed. In fact, Scouty then asked her to just go back to the pack and they'd handle this... and to ask Matthew about it.
....
So she left.

When she did, Scouty turned towards Verdance. ''It hit me too late,'' she said, knowing Verdance already knew Nellie and about what happened, and her whereabouts. Dahlia did not and was fine with that, but Scouty didn't want to get up in Matthew and hers business. ''Nellie is somewhere around here. So if you want to come, since you already know about her... Maybe she can help us.''
Then, she glared at the hut. ''Also, the Hunter lived there before. Now it's just Nellie and Blue. This is where it all happened. Dunno why they came back,'' she scoffed. Then she tilted her head. ''Unless of course Ashen's spirit and his energy drew them here, since that,'' she said, pointing her muzzle at a circle of large, tall stones. ''is where the curse was lifted by no one less than Ashen himself. He descended here.''
