[Log One]

And so we have trekked to the Taiga. Quite a long journey, considering all of the pups I couldn't resist taking on the way there. I had to take them. What wolf would just abandon such treasures in the open. I say you kill 'em or you keep 'em. Nevermind that. The Riparian Woodland was getting crowded, and I couldn't stand it there anymore.  I plan to move the kingdom far Northwest. Hopefully, we would survive. I know most of us could, but there are weaklings I must acknowledge too. My work is cut out for me. I must settle most of the paws in my kingdom, and find a territory to claim and protect. We slept in the open this past night, with Annika and Maxim guarding the perimeters, and Luca watching the pups. Sometimes, I feel bad for the pups I take in. They must learn how to manage in a monarchy and train hard if they want to be kept alive, and let alone survive.

The lovets have gone hunting very often, resting only shortly after they've beat themselves up. I suppose there is good in that. I have trained my subordinates well, and more is to come from that. I may end up chasing many-a-paws from here, to make way for the youth to grow stronger than their proceeders. I suppose that brings me to Karma. Whilst I love Karma to the utmost, and he has been with me all this time, I'm afraid I might have to say goodbye. Four children have been born to Mirabella with great promise, especially that with a coat of gold doubloons. Once they are of age, I may have to bid farewell to Karma. The razvedchiks are doing the best they can, including Karma. I have them roaming the above lands, and lands quite far below.  Locals call the land above the Taiga the Tundra. And below the Desert is the Swamp, according to Acedia.

Quite frankly, I believe that I am going through some physical changes already because of this location. A thicker and more monotone pelt covers me. I don't look as bright as I did when I lived in between Alder Trees in the Woodlands. The pups are beginning to get some nice colour on their pelts. As a red wolf, we are most colorful, so I am happy to see the spurts of color throughout my wolves.

[Log ?]

It's now begun to snow. What a sight for sore eyes. Speaking of which, I can barely keep my own open these days. My responsibilities have skyrocketed, but we are getting settled. Many new, stronger enemies are in these parts, like bears, badgers, and wolverines, almost too much to keep up with, but Kiyoko keeps all of us healed. I give birth tomorrow and a few other faes are expecting. Irina has given birth to three pups, so that, I suppose is good news through and through. Chessy has been added to the lovets and is proving to be quite a good chaser, and Maxim has had quite the personality change and suddenly gets along with the others now, thankfully. We have few pups now and nearly only adolescents, which is also useful as they can take care of themselves.

Our dens have been settled and we now have a safe shelter to keep ourselves warm in this freezing climate. The pups born at the start of winter are struggling, but I know they will pull through. We all just hope our pack can handle our numbers as the lovets are struggling with trail scents this season, but that was expected. I must choose an heir soon as well. We know that our precious Doubloon will be heir to Karma, and since he is not my child, one of my own needs to take over for me. I have high hopes for my current litter, but one can do only that, hope.

[Log 2]

I must be hasty with tonight's logs. Over these months, influenza has made a home in our territory, not only that but Open Wounds too. Oh dear, the poor pups.  Luckily, we now have 3 pupsitters that are actively good at what they do. Karma has begun re-scouting the desert instead of the coniferous forest, but we will have Maxim step in with harsher biomes during scouts, he will need to gain proficiency, though. No fae heats are expected until the end of August/ Beginning of Winter, so we must wait to grow, but that is fine, because we have yet to settle here. Many bears terrorize our supplies and I am hardly able to defend the camp myself. I must become stronger. I suppose if I were to level myself, I stand at a solid 11/20.

As touched on a couple of months ago, my pelt is changing, slowly, but I can notice every difference. I have been exploring the Taiga quite often now, seeing as far as the icy tundra, but an even colder place looks down on the Taiga, as if taunting us of weakness. I will not tolerate it. My pack will grow to become some of the strongest this world has seen. I'm sure of it, and I'm determined. It has to happen if we are to survive.
