She sat there in her seat, barely moving. If one had been seeing her from a distance, they'd think she was a statue. The truth was that she was just concentrating. Without warning, little sparks appeared in front of the girl, but fizzled out just as quickly. "Ugh- Dammit." She cursed under her breath. Lanira gave up on trying to use her magic, packing up her stuff and throwing her bag over her shoulder. She'd been using one of the university's practice rooms to, well. . practice. She wasn't practicing with an instrument, though- She had been attempting to create a small light source. It had clearly failed. She left the room and walked through the hallway, putting on her headphones and some music. She had a long walk home, so at the very least, she wanted to have some music to entertain herself. It had been a while since she'd gone back home to see her family, and she had actually been avoiding it. Unfortunately, there was no avoiding it tonight. There was a meeting of her coven, and despite the fact that she was basically outcast, she was still required to show up. She'd been walking for twenty minutes or so when she felt small drops of water make their way down from the clouds and onto her face. "Rain?! Are you serious?" She groaned internally, pulling up her hood and taking out her headphones. There were two options. One, she could call for an uber that would take far to long to get there. Two, she could call Lyra. Three, she could just take the shortcut through the woods instead. After only a few moments of thinking, she'd made her choice. "Three it is." She sighed, not noticing how she talked to herself out loud. |

She sat down and looked up at the grey sky, she sneezed as a raindrop landed on her nose, as Satya stood up she heard a voice. She growled softly and walked over to where the voice was coming from, Then she saw a girl walking through the trees, singing to herself, Satya crouched down and watched the girl. |

Lanira hummed a quiet tune to herself as she walked, not really paying attention to the things around her. "I hope I make it back in time- If I'm late again, mother will KILL me." She shook her head slightly to clear away those thoughts. Just then, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She stopped walking and pulled it out, answering it without checking to see who the call was from. "Heeeeello?" The voice on the other end went. "Oh, hey Ly." She sighed, immediately recognizing Lyra's voice. "One, I hate it when you call me that. Two, where are you?!" Lyra groaned, sounding worried. "I'm on my way right now, why? Did something happen?" Lanira asked, a hint of concern in her voice. "No! Because you're not here, dumbass!" Lyra cursed, and that's when she remembered. "Oh- Oh SHIT- I was supposed to help set up! Shit, I am SO sorry, Ly! I completely forgot it was my turn!" She tried to explain, but Lyra cut her off. "Save it. Nothing is set up yet, and the meeting starts in like twenty minutes! Get your ass over here, NOW." And then Lyra hung up. Lanira shoved her phone back into her pocket and began sprinting as fast as she could. It had been her turn to help set up, and she'd completely spaced it. As thoughts of what her mother would say began running rampant in her mind, she became more reckless. Before she could realise it was there, she tripped over a large stone and fell down. She slowly sat up, cursing at the universe for screwing her over again. |

Satyas ears perked up as the girl started running all of a sudden, she jogged after the girl, then when the girl tripped over, Satya winced, and looked at the girl, she walked slowly towards the girl As to not scare her. Satya sat about 10 feet from the girl. She whined softly, unable to communicate in English, was the girl ok? Was she hurt? Why was she angry? Was she a threat, or was she just cranky? Satya stood up and stalked a tiny bit closer, licking her lips and bowing down to the girl, submitting, showing that she wasn't a threat to the girl. Even though her size didn't help, she was nearly as big as a oversized donkey. |
