can someone tell me why gen 3 wolves are popular?

i just never really understood this when i first started to play a couple months ago. ive been pretty good at learning the game on my own but one thing is seeing "gen 3" pups/adols in trading center and ive always wondered why they are prefered and if theres anything beneficial about having gen 3 wolves since i cant seem to find anything about them and why they are popular. if someone could explain as much detail about them i would very much appreciate it bc i love learning new and useful things for this game 		AstraMoon

typically, lower gen pups are valued more over high gen pups! low gen makes it easier to check a wolf's lineage and breed it to another wolf without worrying as much about inbreeding. It's a lot easier to compare the lineages of two G3 wolves than two G13 wolves!

if you had two identical pups but one was G3 and one was G4, the G3 would be seen as more valuable because it would have G4 pups, whereas the G4 would have G5 (if that makes sense?). basically, the lower the gen the more value it has and therefore its pups will have more value.

G3 wolves in particular are just common now because a number of "chased" projects are going on and people are filling their dens with G1 and G2 wolves (chased projects = chasing inbred or long-lineage wolves to be found in explore, as a G1 NIB). As a result, a lot of G3s are being produced!

Most players with breeding projects don't have adults that are much higher gen than G5, but plenty of players don't care about generation! Just depends on their goals and preferences.
