Update the Game help page's subsection for pupsitting or add Adult wolf ages to the pupsitting page

Under the Pupsitting & Pup Survival section of the game help page, nothing is stated about death rolls being calculated before pup survival. Meaning that if you have a pup that shows the Survival Chance green bar full as 100% survival rate, they can drop to a rate that means death if the pupsitter dies at RO.

Because the pupsitter death happens before pup survival check which doesn't make any sense when the page is worded as:

My puppy died or got injured but was protected by a pupsitter! Why did this happen? Isn't this a bug?
As with the first question in this category, having a pupsitter does not guarantee your puppy's survival, but ups the chances. The only guarantee your puppy will make it is to have 100% on their survival bar.

It's very misleading and quite upsetting if you had a valuable pup on a pupsitter to make sure it had that 100% survival chance as stated. There hasn't been any official announcement or mention of this anywhere besides some bug reports or if you modbox it in. And even though it isn't clear, you don't get that pup back.

So Im proposing thet that section gets revised to reflect on this issue as I was told it wasn't a bug when I modboxed the issue.

That or make it so that after a certain age a wolf is unable to be a pupsitter at all. Counter idea to that is that the pupsitting page list all pupsitter ages in order for us to know not to use those wolves at all.

Edit: Made a post to get proof that this is the case. This is because I relised the logs are making it seem like we are causing this by removing pups. This is not the case and it looks like it's an automated thing maybe? Or im just bad at bug box reading comprehension link If you all want to follow it

Support. It seems like this would also hold true for pupsitters leaving due to low mood/hunger.

This, please! I literally just lost a pup to this on today's RO- it was 100% protection, but the pup had 0% survival on his own, so he died. I was really confused until I had realized this. ^^;

I read this title, I looked into Game Help -> Pupsitting & Pup Survival, I read the content, I noticed the misleading meaning of phrase "The only guarantee your puppy will make it is to have 100% on their survival bar.", then I read the content of this thread and see that we've reached the same conclusion.

Honestly this should just be changed imo and have the pup survival check roll before the pupsitter death check because it's terribly unfair. But failing that I think this is a great suggestion!

It really sucks because if someone didn't know about this and did everything right, they could still lose an important pup with no recourse. Judging by the amount of times I see "my pup died!" in main chat or in bug reports, the system is already difficult enough as it is without throwing this nasty surprise of a "feature" into the mix.

Thanks so much!! And yes, it is confusing and unfair that that section says one thing, but the game does a completely different thing in some instances. And yep, I think this is part of why we see so many of those comments in chat, because they are nesting their pups, but not realizing that the death check happens before the survival check ( Like me who lost a Badger alb carrier I bought for 20 gc and gave clay eyes 😭 I had so many plans for it )

I didn't actually know this was the case, I am now really glad I chase my wolves before the start of their death rolls.

Glad you know now, because it's the worst that you can't get proof that you're pup should still survive.
