Is it offputting when an inexpensive item has a GC alternative?

Is it offputting when an inexpensive item has a GC alternative?

It's been my habit so far to always put a 1gc option on quest items, medicine etc just in case someone is having a time-sensitive emergency and consider it worth it. But, it's occurred to me that when searching, the gold might cause you to skip over the trade even if the silver price is right. What do you think?

Personally, it doesn't deter me. Even if I only have SC to spend, I'll still consider a SC or GC.

I suppose it's looking for the SC symbol versus avoiding the GC symbol

Again this is just me. I am curious of other responses because I also add the 'or GC' option.

Personally, I think it's nice when an item has an option for both, at least right now.

There was (and is?) so much GC floating around because of early access tiers and sale. I know there has been once or twice where I've skipped an item or a stud fee because it was only in SC, and my SC is much more precious to me right now, so in cases like that, at least from me, it caused me to skip over things I was interested in just because there wasn't the option for GC. :o

Always nice to have the choice instead of strictly one or the other, imo. c:

I regularly buy my GC at 60 or 70ish SC a piece. I don't think it's a big deal.

I don't skip over them, I just look at the SC price.  I think with things that cost like 10 SC it's a bit silly, but for healing salves and up, you might as well really. You're right, who knows when someone's going to need one and have no SC.

At times, I have preferred to buy everything with GC!

I personally don't see it as off putting as some players may not have the SC to purchase items or stud services, so it is convenient to have an alternative form of payment.

I don't personally find it to be off-putting, but I've noticed that my trades don't sell if I put an option for both strangely enough. (And yes, I've double and triple checked that the price is fair and that "or" instead of "and" GC is checked!)

Huh, I usually put both and my trades seem to sell fine. Maybe they'd sell even better otherwise...

hmmm, i was thinking the same thing, but i do it anyways because like you said i figure it'd be nice to have an option. any deterrence might be just an unconscious aversion to GC when you're looking for a cheap SC option so you go for the exclusively SC options only. i try and be frugal, though, so that's not something i do (or i at least try not to)
