Boreas Clone Stud QuestI fell in love with this auburn dog so much that I want to have him, not just for the sake of having him, but in order to let all players stud with him... Those of us unfortunate who didn't win the raffle... My Mission is to create a near perfect clone of Boreas and turn him into a Stud. The price for studding will be decided when I complete him. My goal of course would be to make back the money I spent on creating him. The quest should be to create a clone of him that is as clean as possible, but inbreeding is sadly inevitable. If all goes well, only two of his parents will be descendants of Boreas. The goal is that both of them combine each other's markings and fill in the blanks as well as possible. I will not Chase him with hope that he indeed lands in the pool, and then gets fished out by someone within the next 10 Days. Let alone that they will see he is an identical clone of Boreas and actually sell him to me. No way Josรช. Left: Y | Right: X (bought from Morbid | bought from Rhallwyn) I will breed these two disregarding all but their Markings until all 10 of them are present on an Offspring. This one will be named 10M Specimen. Once a puppy who has all of Boreas markings is born, I will breed it to a Markingless partner with Novus eyes. This one should ideally be not a descendant of Boreas but any other past Stud who had Novus eyes. Current Best Shot: R&C Novus (will be named Z) (bought from areot) Marking Removal x2 | 2GC Assuming that I will be left with a Puppy who has all of Boreas' Markings and his Eyes, I will need to spend the following on Grove items to tidy him up. But hey it's possible that I'll just be lucky and will get to spare 1 or 2GC. Reminder to self: DON'T BUY THESE THINGS UNTIL I HAVE THE PERFECT SPECIMEN Marking Opacity Changer x10 | 10GC Base Changer | 10GC Nose/Skin/Claw Changer Each | 3GC Sex Changer | 3GC = 26GC Speculative Finished Genealogical TreeOutcome: ~1% Inbreeding Coefficient but I'm not sure how the math works. Idea for a Sequel [HARD MODE]In order to get rid of Boreas II's 1 instance of inbreeding, I would attempt to clone him to NBWs forever until Boreas III is born. Boreas III will then become my pride & joy and my clan's stud, and Boreas II will be Chased. Given that he would land in the Chased NBW pool, it would be possible for someone to claim him within the next 10 Days. He would be a perfect Boreas except for Marking Opacities* so the odds of someone selling him back to me are slim. *If I were to go with this, I would prefer to not waste GC fixing all his opacities, because Boreas III would be my main focus. ... Or instead of Chasing him, maybe I'd sell Boreas II for a small humble price of 500 GC I'd be happy if people were interested and up to date with my plan. Thank you for reading! |

XYZ are in my lair!!! They're all puppies with less than 100% protection so here's to hoping that they'll survive. In exactly 2 rollovers, a plethora of pups in my lair will grow up into adols, so then XYZ will be close to 100% protection. I'll train them every day with focus on Strength. I think it'd be interesting if the final descendant had a very high Strength stat. Also, on the day they'll turn into adols, I plan to age them up using Aging Crystals. Adol training isn't the focus, I want to get to breeding as quickly as possible! |

XYZ have all survived and grown up into adols! I was stressed out on every rollover because I've had one pup die, before with 99% survival chance ๐ญ I immediately changed Y's sex to female and then used the aging crystal on all three. If my experience with this game is correct, then Y should be automatically in heat tomorrow. I will be able to pair bond her with X and breed right away. I would really like to buy a sage item to ensure that there's at least more than 1 puppy in the litter. Over the course of the wait I've actually increased by GC from ~20 to 47 because I found out that a lot of GC can be made by selling Amusement items. I also got a base changer in a clan game (Yearn For Agony) so WOOOO I wonder if I should buy a sage item or notโฆ I'll see if anyone is LF items that I have that I could trade. EDIT: Ahahahahaha I got a Blue Sage via a trade. My path is cleared before me by the gods themselves |

Well I did everything according to plan and also used an IBF on Y so that she delivers the 4 cubs right away. And man, SO CLOSE! Puppy 1: 4/6 Boreas Markings Puppy 2: 3/6 Boreas Markings Puppy 3: 3/6 Boreas Markings BUT a 4th B/O Marking that's not on Boreas so it's technically 4/6 of the goal Puppy 4: 4/6 Boreas Markings Godd so close. Well then see you all in two weeks since this game doesn't have Yohimbe Barks yet |

Good news everyone. While I have not yet successfully bred a Boreas clone, I have obtained an offspring of his who had Novus eyes and 4 of his special Markings. Arguably the most important thing about Boreas are his Auburns and Novus eyes! So I applied all the remaining T1 markings with applicators, and changed his base to the closest genetic relative to Maltese TII (which is Galena TII). 8 Marking Opacity changes later and...! ITS HIM! HE LOOKS EXACTLY RIGHT! Though he is missing two markings: Black Wings, and Red Wings Scarce. I have substituted Black Wings with Black Shoulder Patch but I can't find a T0/T1 substitute for Red Wings Scarce that makes me happy. I am fighting the urge to invest in RMAs. So for the time being this wolf is 9 Marked. He is currently 11 Months old and I will make him my public Stud as soon as he turns 1 year old. His price will be 2 GC or 425 SC. My idea is that Boreas II will be the cheapest Novus-eyed Stud on site rn, at least one with interesting marks. I want people to breed to him and get Novus eyed pups and chase them in order to stimulate the Novus NBW prices. By the way, all Novus studs on site right now are either NBWs or descendants of Winston II. As a result, most Novuses on site are related to Winston II, and it's difficult to breed more Novuses without inbreeding. Boreas II should be good for the NIB players. He will be a G11 stud, so his offspring will be G12. So raising and chasing his offspring is what will most likely happen a lot. And the quest to breed Boreas II down to the final marking hasn't ended! I still have X and Y and Z. X is locked as male, but Y and Z are locked as female. Y has Boreas II's missing markings: the two Wing ones. So there is a small chance that one day I will really breed a Boreas clone. I will also breed Boreas II to Z as much as possible to create more Novus babies. Perhaps in a long time, there'll be an overabundance of wolves in game that have Boreas' slots. But I don't think that's a bad thing. The other good news is that in the meantime I actually won the fucking stud raffle. Like for real. I won it. It wasn't necessarily a stud I was crazy for (I love dark color schemes with flashes of color like Boreas, Mayonnaise, Rhubarb II, and Nexus II (not colorful but his usage of merle goes hard) (look them all up! also check out Gungnir and Alligator because they legit have the most BO markings of all studs ever)) I won Quil II's breeding. So I rapidly bought a NBW with Glass eyes and no markings. My buddy bought a Blue Sage for me. I used my Elk Heart still leftover from the Pair Bonding Tala Quest. I IBF'd. And forth came... a PERFECT Quil II clone. All the marks. The exact base. All the skins and claws. BUT NOT THE RAFFLE EYES. NOT EVEN GLASS EYES. HIS EYES SHOULDVE BEEN DUST! And that's when I realized that I will probably not get any studding request unless my stud has unique eyes. Glass or any of the Raffle ones. Novus is the most incredible eye color rn because it has the best fails. So even though I initially planned to stud my Quil II clone and give him Hazel eyes because they're my fave out of the common colors, I decided to think about Boreas again. Thus the great dilemma. Is it better to stud a G2 Raffle Stud clone with 5 BO marks, a BO TII base, and common eyes? Or is it better to stud a G11 Raffle Stud clone with 4 BO marks, a common TII base, and the incredible Novus eyes? The answer might probably be an obvious "the G2 one" but I feel like Boreas II can potentially have an impact on the game, as a practically free Novus stud. In the end, I don't believe anyone in the game cares about Raffle Stud cloning or turning them into their own Studs. I don't know what I'll do with my Quil II clone at the moment. Maybe one day he will be worth a lot. Eh. Doubtfully. But his near-clone siblings are all for sale, all 4GC each. All technically have stud potential [Look at my Quil II clone] G2 Raffle Stud Clone Pup | 7M | TII BO Base G2 Raffle Stud Clone Pup | 5M | TII NBW Base G2 Raffle Stud Clone Pup | 5M = 4 Rare Marks! Thank you for reading my crazy self-absorbed monologue LOL |
