History/Backstory: A strict hunter, Arizona grew up needing to fend for himself in a harsh pack. Grew a thick skin because of it and has a hard time connecting to other wolves outside of his pack. Wandering the mountains and secretly searching for someone to melt his cold heart, he hunts alone.

Season: Late Summer early Autumn
Location: Mountain

Arizona felt the underbrush of the forest sweeping underneath his belly, the scent of a creature he has been tracking still fresh. His ears were pulled back and he stalked as he always did. Low and quiet. The final traces of the summer heat were warm on his back as the sun speckled through the trees. It was getting to be his favorite time of the year and his stomach grumbled in anticipation of all the foraging to be done.

With a glance to his side, Arizona saw it. A set of gleaming antlers and dark eyes. The ambitious hunt he chased was a buck and with a lick at his jaws, Arizona crouch low as he inched forward.

Just as he prepared to strike, a distant rustle made the creature whine and bolt off, earning a low sigh from the male. Just his luck. He stood back up and shook out the nettles from his fur before turning to head back on the trail.

Claw smelled another wolf, Panic set in she was alone and easy enough to kill. She sniffed again to be sure and only found old sent trails. Adrenaline still pumping she went to the rabbit burrows and chased a rabbit. Just as she was about to bite it the rabbit ran down the burrow she sighed and walked away

Arizona walked back to his hunting grounds before pausing. He gave a firm sniff to the air before following through in an exhale. Another wolf. He was sure these trails were out of the way and few used them, but the scent was fresh. Arizona was annoyed from the loss of his meal and felt a sour mood, so he decided he wanted to lecture something.

A chestnut hare scurried between his legs as he approached a burrow, something having spooked it into hiding. Giving a glare to the creature he sniffed around before he came across his little pest.

"Hay." He barked, sure to use his grumpiest tone. "What do you think you are doing out here.." Arizona followed with a hostile growl. He looked scary, but his ears gave him away. He mostly just looked threatening.

She looked petrified "I ughh um I was hungry… so I went to get some food and um you were in my path home so" she cut herself off and dropped down low, terrified  "please don't hurt me" she whimpered

The male blinked at this wolf's scared tone. His ears drew back as he dropped the hostile act rather quickly. He of all wolves knew what it was like to come across bigger wolves while just trying to eat. Arizona hesitated to speak for a moment before watching her drop low to the ground, he scoffed.

"Get up, there is no need to grovel." He let out an annoyed sigh. "I wasn't.. going to hurt you. You are on my trails, and I needed to see who dared to hunt on my ground."

Glancing at the burrow next to them, Arizona suddenly lunged forward and stuck his snout into the opening. Withdrawing with a small meal, the male plopped it in front of the female.

"You have to be quick with the hares."

She was stunned "I-uh thank you" she mumbled getting up "sorry I really am not a threat I didn't know this was your land" she sat down calmly "you know your rather large. What are you an alpha?"

"You didn't look like a threat." He huffed at her. "Alpha..? I am alone.. so I don't know if that counts as being an alpha." He withdrew a step back and lowered his head. "You better be far from your pack if you didn't smell me on this trail little one." He followed suit and sat down for a moment. The hunt had worn him out.

"Oh ya years away from my pack" she giggled "I was kicked out because of my eyes" she looked away then to the rabbit she held her gaze there for a moment the looked back at him " yep just me now" she sighed
