"Stupid." He spat, uncontrolled in the outburst but he didn't seem to direct it at her, "To leave one just for an appearance they cannot control." His own hostile pack memories made the male glare at the grass and roots. "I apologize." His gaze drifted upwards towards a darkening sky. Something in him yearned so deeply for a connection but he had no clue where to start. "Its getting dark. You should eat your meal and.. be on your way." |

She grabbed the rabbit and tore off the hind leg, set it down and grabbed the rest. "Bye!" She called turning away blood dripping from the rabbit's missing leg She trotted away blushing |

Bowing his head at her as she left, the male made his way back towards his lonely and quiet den. A few days following... The mountains had been foggy and eerie the past few days and Arizona felt uncomfortable on his usually safe hunting trails. The creatures were scarce and the male grumbled over it. === A rival pack sniffed the air and hunted around Claw's den, waiting for an easy wolf to ambush. |

Af few days following… She was very hungry as food was hard to find lately she went looking keeping her distance from the large male's territory. About a mile away from her den she found an old elk carcass and started eating the last tiny bit. It was horribly decayed and tasted terrible, but it was food none the less so she ate it. After eating every little sliver she look a rib bone and trotted towards her den with a full stomach. Upon arrival she noticed a strange sent but chalked it up to the decaying meat on her mouth and went into her den to sleep. |

A monochrome alpha peered into the space once Claw finally entered and started to inch forward. He had two younger hunters at his tail and blocked the entrance. "Hello little thing. You look full, wonder where you got a meal from.." The male said in a very harsh tone, laughing at his own remark before getting into her face. "Care to share a little?" === Arizona carried a loose bundle of herbs and trotted along an unfamiliar path hoping to score a raccoon for lunch when he stopped in his tracks. Something smelled... familiar, but it was masked by the wicked scent of another larger male. Growing concerned, Arizona tucked his foraging behind a log and followed the scent trail. |

"Then I will just have to take my fill from you." A chorus of cackling wolves howled at their lead and they all surrounded the young female. === Arizona perked up when he heard howling, and a fearful scent made him break out into a run towards the sound. Branches snapped under his paws as he sprinted through the trees and skid towards the opening of a tiny den. Three wolf forms blocked the entrance and he growled. "Hay! Why don't you pick on someone else you damn runts!" Arizona said with real anger in his voice. He couldn't ignore the scent of the wolf he met just a few days ago. |

The fight was quick and left no blood, the smaller wolves having quickly fled once teeth were bared. Arizona huffed heavily and stood over the scared male before stepping off his chest. "Remove yourself from this place or it will be the last place you see." The blue wolf quickly felt exhausted as his head bowed low to the floor. He was weaker than usual from the lack of hunt but still took the time to save the one other wolf in this mountain he had come across. "Are you hurt." He said simply. |
