When I joined I familiarized myself with backgrounds using Wardrobe and décor using Item Catalog. I have a natural/desert theme, so I added everything I could see using to my Wishlist for reference. Part of my reason for Wolf Design Part 2 is people asking for help decorating in Chat. It's hard to give a good answer with other conversations burying the discussion, so I'll link here in the future. Making a thread in Chatter is also a good way to get well-thought-out answers to your questions. Blending In I often try to find a background that matches the wolf's colors to give the sense that it is well suited to survive in that environment. If it's hard to choose make duplicates of the wolf in Wardrobe and compare each option. Jett. [USA] South Dakota - Badlands matched to Zircon and Cream markings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Use contrasting colors or play with lightness/darkness. Ahmad. Cave Entrance contrasts with Storm and Cream markings. ![]() When I have extra money I stock up on Custom Décor and have a few favorites I return to. Jolc. [Lighting] Subtle sunrise compliments [USA] Arkansas - Ozark National Forest. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Two things I focus on with décor are complimentary colors and placement. Lead Nawth ![]() Color- Both markings and background are light in many places, so I used Arctic White and Yarrow Décor. Monarch Butterfly compliments Amber eyes. Reddish purple colors in Serviceberry compliment Storm base and Losna Shepherd Heavy mark. Muted colors in Baltimore Checkerspot compliment background colors. Placement- Plant décor on opposite sides fills space without looking cluttered. Butterflies form a roughly triangular shape. |
