 One difference is that the Medicine Cat may have a mate and kit but they must put the clan first and treat them as they would treat the other clanmates. The clans are... The small tom-cat sat in the warriors den, looking rather bored and unhappy with the fact that he was injured and unable to fight off enemies. 'How? How did I manage to fall and sprain my paw? I was perfectly fine last time.' He growled to himself and then sighed. 'I wish someone would bring me something or at least stop to chat for a while. That would be nice.' TalonShade - Warrior - Heather Clan The light colored tom-cat was laying outside Heather Clan camp, keeping watch for any unwanted guest. Every once in a while someone would stop and say hello as they left or entered the camp, but otherwise he was alone. But it didn't bother him as he was used to it and preferred to keep to himself. MorningThorn - Medicine Cat - Sorrel Clan A soft purring melody could be heard from inside the Sorrel Clan Medicine Cat den. The lovely tune was nice to the ears and made others perk up or calm themselves as they passed by. The source of the sweet sound was no other than the Medicine Cat herself, MorningThorn. She was rearranging herbs and mixing up some remedies and cures. Her tail swished from side to side as she walked slowly back and forth between the shelf-like rocks equipment and piles of medicine cat necessities. |

Babbling'stream slowly approached the warriors den, lost in thought over who to assign to hunting parties and who to borders or if the medicine cat needed a patrol sent out to find a rare herb. She stumbled over something soft and stopped immediately, she looked down and saw Tiger'Cloud's tail. She leapt backwards, "Oh my Starclan, I'm so sorry Tiger'cloud!!". She went bright red and sat back on her haunches "And your injured too, Oh mousedung, once again I'm so sorry!". She hid her face in her multi-coloured tail, hoping to avoid his eyes out of pure embarassment. |

Tiger'Cloud sat up and winced, curling his tail around himself protectively. When he saw that it was Babbling'Stream who had done it he quickly limped over and sat down next to her. "No, no. It's alright! It didn't hurt that bad so it's no problem." He playfully nudged the she-cats head. "Hey where are you off to? Can I go to? I want to go. Please, I hate being stuck in the den." He gave her a pitiful look. |

Babbling'stream blinked, shocked he had reacted so well to her clumsiness. "Hmm, that depends are you ready to go hunting for some quail or would you rather help me plan border markings?". She slunk into a loaf pose, slightly overwhelmed by her duties but in awe over the trust placed in her. |

Tiger'Cloud thought for a moment. "Well I have never helped with anything other than warrior stuff and some hunting so I would be happy to help ya plan the border markings!" He stood and wobbled a little but easily caught his balance again. "Actually, I think I could help with both. You seem like you could use it anyways. The role of a deputy is a hard one to have. Just by the look on your face I can tell you're a little stress out." |

Babbling'stream sat up quickly, a broad smile on her face, "Thank you so much Tiger'cloud", she then furred her brow "Although your paw does need rest so I'd would rather we walk not too far into the territory and ensure we have plenty of breaks". Realising she was getting lost in thought (and embarrassing herself infront of her clan mate), she spoke up "As soon as your ready we can patrol the border near Heather clan, I think I found a patch where the scents are merging in a peculiar way, plus I might be able to snag a juicy quail!". Her fluffy tail was twitching excitedly at the very thought of such juicy prey. |

"Okay! And don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I just want to help you get some stuff done. Plus I need the exercise." he stood up straighter and grinned. "I'm ready to go right now! That juicy quail sounds nice." He started off towards the camp exit, half dragging his injured hind leg hind him. |

Her eyes widened slightly worried for Tiger'cloud, she started after him "Don't go to fast, and remember if you need to stop just say so and I'll tree climb to help pass the time" She reared playfully in the air to demonstrate her tree climbing skills, she winced slightly at the pain from her scar. She sighed silently trying to ignore the pain and just focus on the now, she licked over the scar smoothing her golden pelt over it in an effort to forget the pain. |

He noticed Babbling'Stream's behavior and nudged her. "Hey don't go telling me to be careful if you aren't gonna do it yourself." He chuckled softly and shook his head slowly. "I guess we will be looking after each other during this trip." He looked up as they neared the camp exit. |
