The young tom lay in some tall grass just outside of the Heather Clan camp, watching his prey intently. As he moves into a stalking position he makes no sound. Slowly he creeps towards the bird till he is only a foot away. When he feels it is the right time he leaps and lands with a soft thump on top of the bird. |

Lily'paw felt so ashamed that she ran out of camp and towards the Heather'clan border Hopefully I'll see Dusk she thought (Btw Lily had just become an app and so she and dusk are only a moon in age apart) |

He sat up, his paw holding the bird down as it wasn't dead. 'Now I kill it...right.' He looked a bit sad as he stared at the small brown and gray creature. 'Maybe...I should just...' He let go of the bird and it flew off. (Wait...but wouldn't they be the same age. Lets just say that he hasn't had his ceremony yet.) |

He sits with his his face to the ground. 'I can't do it. The poor thing looked so sad and helpless.' He pinned his ears back and got up, walking towards the Heather Clan border. Maybe I can find someone to talk to. Or a better target to...kill...' |

Nightpaw walks over to her mentor, "Hey shouldn't my warrior's assessment be some time this moon?" She asks excitedly "Yeah your right, I mean if you feel that you are ready we could probably do it now." Nightpaw's mentor says flicking their tail. "Really? Yeah I am ready." Nightpaw meows loudly. "I know you are young one." Nightpaw's mentor says, "Now lets get started then go off hunting and bring in as much prey as you can then we will assess your fighting skills." The mentor explains. With a second thought Nightpaw dashed off and began hunting. She quickly scented a large black bird finding it looking for food on the forest floor, she surveyed her surroundings. She then dropped into the proper huntersΒ crouch for hunting birds like this. She knew she was down wind of it and so as soon as she was close enough she leaped forward landing on the bird and with one quick bite she had caught her first piece of prey for her hunters assessment. She then caught scent of a squirrel and dropped into hunters crouch again but this time when she leaped she missed and the squirrel got away. |
