Shifter's Path ~ RP! {Closed!}

Farran clicked her beak haughtily, flying to a low branch on the other side. Yes, it was the wolf. She called out, but very low as if talking to herself as she cocked her head to watch. He seemed hungry, eyes fixated on her.

Erik was hours away from the other shifters. He decided to try his dragon form again..

He shifted quickly and went up into the sky searching for anyone in trouble

His eyes follow the bird, judging the distance between the ground and her perch. At last his fixation break, deeming the distance too great for too little. Pacing about, seeking to single out a scent that would prove a better hunt. "Odds are that... thing scared off all the deer..." he grumble, shaking out the stress.

Farran, indignant, shifted back to speak. "More likely you scared them off, dog. And they don't come 'round here anymore." She retorted, quickly pulling herself up onto a slightly higher branch and tucking her legs underneath her incase he jumped.

"Dog?" He quirk a brow, turning his eyes back up to the now-human perched in the tree. "Because I smell of death and sound like a plane crashing down when I fly about the trees?" He chuffed, moving to sit and look up at her better. "They don't come around anymore? Why not?" He tilt his head curiously, ears perked and honed in on her voice-- seeming far more curious than hungry now, perhaps even docile.

"I do not sound like a plane crashing! And I don't know. Maybe the noise is too much. But I've resorted to stealing as a human and eating rats and the like as a bird." She frowned, looking back towards her house. "This whole front stretch has very, very little deer. And if I use my bow, I hunt much further back." She mused, zoning out as she thought.

He couldn't help but belt into laughter at her snip, "Heavens no, not you. That giant... thing. The ignorant shifter that's been wandering around like a lost and lame pup." he grunt, shifting his paws. Standing slowly he look back toward the denser section of the woods. "I see... I'd gladly share a hunt with you, if you'd be my eyes above." He smirk with a single swish of his tail, watching her from the corner of his eye-- taking a buck down would be easy for him, after all, but the energy spent running aimlessly in search of a trail would make the hunt call for more than one...

Farran nodded. "Deal. I know some spots that'd be good. There are a few bucks around, I haven't managed to scare them off so just be prepared for that." She considered him then remarked, "With your size you should be fine." Then she jumped forward, shifting with a flurry of feathers and a dramatic flourish of her wings as she flew up above him. The kite rose, looking for a path. With a sharp whistle she angled herself that way, dipping down to just above him.

He nod once, chuckling at the bird's comment. It was thrilling, even chasing after her to find prey, the rush of air through his fur, the calculated bounds over fallen logs and around rocks to keep up. His eyes dart from her to his path and back, constantly in check of his surroundings and guide. Ears sharp, listening for some signal to hang back or change direction, always adapting on the fly.

Farran spotted a few up ahead and whistled softly, diving down next to him. She flicked her head slightly, towards the area. Quickly heading back up, she waits to see what he would do and if she could try drive them somewhere.
