Shifter's Path ~ RP! {Closed!}

Emily-Rose rolled her eyes just a little, but then she surprisingly responded. “Wait, don’t leave, please stay...” She pleaded, in a small voice. “I-I kinda need the company... but please, don’t make me talk ‘bout it. Not now, anyway.” She then sat in silence, feeling a little awkward about everything. “I’m sorry I spoke to you like that earlier, I really shouldn’t have.” She looked at Saiya now. “C-Can you please.. forgive me?”

Saiya huffed slightly but nodded. "Sure. Just don't threaten me again." There was a small yeowl and Dante came racing after Saiya. With a start of surprise, he froze, looking at the other. That's Emily. The shop owner. he said to Saiya in their unique language and she nodded at the cat.

It seemed that things were finally going back to normal, and Jessica had a day for herself again. The forest called for her, and once again a limber little bright red squirrel was practically dancing through the canopy, knowing every little secret forest path imaginable. But something was different- broken boughs, disturbed foliage, something large had clumsily lumbered through. Plenty of human tracks and intermixing smells too, people rarely strayed so far from the city. She ventured along, soon following the sounds of a sobbing woman, and other voices and smells mixing in to the barrage of conflicting information. Jess could not help but feel pity for whoever it was, maybe she and her friend came out here to cry alone? It was awfully far, and did not account for much, but even a bad answer helped to quell the questions swimming in her head. Today was supposed to be a relaxed day.

Dante looked up as the smell of squirrel drifted towards them. Attention switching, he began to climb up the branches and jumping to arrive near the squirrel. Except... it smelled human as well. Oh! It must be the shifter they accidentally meet when they were finding food! Saiya glanced after him, switching back to human to be able to speak properly.

”Is that..?” It took a while for her to recognize the stray, but when she did, se immediately lit up. “It is! The stray!” She started to pet Dante gingerly and sweetly, making sure she didn’t hurt him. “Do you know him?” She curiously asked Saiya. She wiped any remaining tears away that she had.

Oddly enough, she smelled something... it smelled really delicious, similar to squirrel... but not quite. Her mouth watered, just a bit, and she rushed towards the general direction of the squirrel, shifting into bear form.

Dante had quickly avoided the girl by going after the squirrel, and Saiya scowled at his departing tail. "Yes, worst of luck. He isn't actually a stray." Emily rushed off and Saiya got up, crossing her arms. Wow. Great self-control. And said cat was sniffing at the squirrel, ears forward in curiosity. He was tempted to jump, just finish it, but it was a human. Or, part human. That would not be good. And he wouldn't dip to the low level of the scientists who had harmed him.

She noticed that the squirrel was actually part human, so she climbed to where ever it was, poked the small thing with her claw, and held out her paw, as if trying to shake hands with the red squirrel. “Hullo!” She yipped, waiting for a response.

Her heart rate must have doubled once she spotted the cat. She hated cats as a squirrel- one had nearly eaten her for dinner, and it was only more bitter once she realized they were the stray who snuck in. And then there was the fact of a fluffy bear rushing in her direction. Jess gave in to every instinct in her tiny body and ran like her life depended on it- because to her it really did.

The sloth bear quickly stopped the squirrel before it could go any further. She then hugged it, as if it were a teddy bear, and then offered it a bit of food, as if to signal peace. “I don’t want to harm you, small thing!” She frowned a little bit. “You’re actually kinda adorable, awe... I wish I could make you a pet of some sort!” She now was gushing over the squirrel.

Dante raced after her, pouncing and picking her up carefully. Maybe Saiya would know what to do. For a minute, he stood there, holding the shifter gently before giving a half hiss at the bear and running down to Saiya. The she-wolf held out her hands and Dante dropped the squirrel into her hands. "That was not smart of either of you!" she called out. "I apologise for them. Would you like me to put you on the ground or in a tree?" she asked the squirrel politely.
