like the title says, I am hosting a design contest, where YOU can win up to 500GC! I'm been really struggling to find a design I connect with, so I thought what better than to open a contest?! This contest will run from now (17/4/23) to 2/6/23! The grand prize is 500GC! Second and third will get 40GC each! Rules ~ All entries Must be in by 2/6/23 ~ All levels of artists are accepted! ~ Entries must adhere to Wolvden's Tree Carving/Forum Rules ofc ~ I do require that the design is easy to see and the colors are clear ~ If submitting traditional, please make sure to take a clear photo or a clear scan ~ Do not trace/steal/or otherwise plagiarize others' works ~ I will accept collabs HOWEVER be sure to credit the other participant - and the prize will be split between both parties ~ One entry per person or per collab (this means if you submit a collab you cannot submit a separate entry!) ~ I will cancel if there is not a high enough interest! ~ only the first, second, and third place designs that win will then be mine (with artist's credit of course!), all runners ups, or nonwinners get to keep their designs and do what they like with those designs! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Entry guidelines/inspirations!! ~ The Oc is going to be a male/masculine ~ His name will either be Rí (an ancient Gaelic word meaning 'king') OR Lorcan (An Irish name, that means fierce little one.) ~ He'd be sheepish and unsure of himself as a pup, but will grow to be a fierce warrior when he grows older ~ Canines, extra points for less known canine species (like Maned wolf, African Wild dog, Dhole, Ethiopian Wolf, etc) ~ Unique but relatively simple to re-create ~ natural colors preferred (see below for preferred color palette) -- leaning more towards a dirty blond/palomino ~ Sectoral Heterochromia Is my weakness ( brown and blue?) ~ But also I really like gorgeous deep brown eyes  ~ On the note of eyes, blonde/white eyelashes like melt my heart ~ I am really like the idea of a Piebald? ~ Natural Accessories! (feathers, bones, herbs, ect ect) Strict don'ts! ~ Colour bomb ~ Cute, pastels, naw ~ Clothing (scarfs/bandanas/collars are ok) ~ Neons ~ 'sparkle' dog designs ~ Really complex hard to replicate designs Color palette, image inspirations Palette ideas? feel free to experiment! a wolf is preferable! to insert an image, you can use Control+Shift+p which will insert the code for you like this: < img src="" > then just add your image link between the " " (I use Imgur to host my images, but you can use whatever you'd like!) |
